The Manager, Innovation Marketing is a dynamic marketing professional who serves as the primary marketing partner for Suffolk’s internal innovation clients and leads initiatives that bring Suffolk’s technology and AI-driven capabilities to life externally. This role sits at the forefront of Suffolk’s evolution as a tech-forward construction company, translating complex operational and innovation stories into compelling marketing strategies and campaigns.

Reporting to the Director, Vertical and Innovation Marketing, this individual will manage day-to-day marketing execution for innovation-focused programs, build strong internal client relationships, and help define how Suffolk communicates its leadership in construction technology, AI, and operational excellence to the market.

This role is ideal for a curious, tech-savvy marketer who thrives in a fast-moving environment, can bridge the gap between highly technical concepts and compelling storytelling, and is eager to shape how a major industry player communicates its innovation agenda.

Responsibilities

Internal Client Partnerships

  • Serve as the dedicated marketing partner for the Operational Excellence and AI teams and other internal innovation stakeholders, developing deep understanding of their goals, priorities, and initiatives
  • Translate complex operational, technology, and AI-related programs into clear marketing strategies with defined objectives, audiences, and success metrics
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with internal clients, acting as a trusted advisor who proactively identifies marketing opportunities and solves communications challenges
  • Manage a regular cadence of stakeholder check-ins, briefings, and reporting to ensure alignment and visibility across active marketing initiatives
  • Collaborate closely with subject matter experts, project teams, and senior leaders to surface stories that demonstrate real-world impact of Suffolk's innovation work

Innovation & Technology Marketing Strategy

  • Develop and execute integrated marketing campaigns that showcase Suffolk's capabilities in construction technology, artificial intelligence, data analytics, and process innovation
  • Own the positioning and messaging framework for Suffolk's innovation narrative — ensuring it is differentiated, credible, and resonant with both internal and external audiences
  • Partner with the Director to align innovation marketing strategy with the enterprise brand, vertical priorities, and business development objectives
  • Monitor the competitive landscape and emerging tech trends to keep Suffolk's innovation story timely, relevant, and forward-looking
  • Identify and develop content that demonstrates thought leadership – including case studies, white papers, executive bylines, event presentations, and video storytelling

Campaign Execution & Content Development

  • Lead the end-to-end execution of innovation marketing campaigns across digital, social, events, and internal communications channels
  • Develop compelling content that translates technical concepts – including AI applications, digital tools, and operational workflows – into accessible, engaging narratives for diverse audiences
  • Contribute to and amplify Suffolk's thought leadership platforms by identifying the right spokespersons, stories, and forums to showcase innovation leadership
  • Support the development of event marketing strategy for innovation-related conferences, panels, demos, and internal showcases

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Stakeholder Management

  • Work closely with Corporate Marketing teammates – including brand, digital, PR, and regional marketing – to ensure seamless integration of innovation content across all channels
  • Coordinate with business development teams to align innovation marketing programs with pipeline priorities and pursuit opportunities
  • Partner with Suffolk Technologies, Suffolk Design, and other innovation-adjacent verticals to identify storytelling synergies and amplify the broader innovation narrative
  • Represent the Corporate Marketing team in cross-functional project meetings, innovation working groups, and internal stakeholder forums

Performance Measurement & Reporting

  • Define and track KPIs for innovation marketing programs, providing regular reporting on campaign performance, content engagement, and stakeholder satisfaction
  • Use data and feedback to continuously refine messaging, content formats, and channel strategy
  • Report results and insights to the Director, Vertical and Innovation Marketing, with clear recommendations for optimization
  • Manage project budgets for assigned programs, tracking spend and ensuring efficient use of marketing resources

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of B2B marketing experience, with demonstrated expertise in technology, innovation, or corporate marketing
  • A genuine curiosity about technology and AI – you don't need to be an engineer, but you must be able to learn quickly, ask smart questions, and translate technical concepts into compelling narratives
  • Strong internal client management skills – you are organized, proactive, and able to navigate relationships with senior stakeholders with confidence and credibility
  • Proven experience developing integrated marketing campaigns across multiple channels, from content and social to PR, events, and digital
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Strong project management capabilities – you can juggle multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and manage cross-functional workflows
  • Familiarity with marketing technology tools including CRM, marketing automation, analytics platforms, and content management systems
  • A collaborative, solutions-oriented mindset – you are a team player who takes initiative and brings a positive, constructive energy to challenging problems
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field
