• Base salary will be in the range $120,317 to $134,892 + 17% super (HEW Level 8)
• Based at our Herston location, with travel to rural and regional clinical sites across Queensland

About This Opportunity

The Manager, Infrastructure Planning and Development (Rural) will coordinate infrastructure planning, development and optimisation across the Faculty’s rural and regional education and training network. Through complex stakeholder engagement with internal teams, health service partners, government agencies, community organisations and technical specialists, you will deliver fit-for-purpose infrastructure outcomes with tangible impacts on rural workforce development and healthcare. Your work will support evolving educational, clinical, research and accommodation needs while advancing the sustainable delivery of education and training throughout Queensland.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Develop coordinated plans for the management, optimisation and future development of rural and regional infrastructure, including teaching, training, administrative and accommodation facilities.
• Lead investigations, needs analyses, feasibility assessments and business cases that inform evidence-based infrastructure decisions and future investment.
• Coordinate infrastructure projects from concept and planning through implementation, commissioning and review, monitoring scope, risk, timelines, budgets and outcomes.
• Build trusted partnerships and support effective governance, consultation, contracts, leases, licences and shared-facility arrangements across complex stakeholder environments.

About You

• Relevant degree qualifications in project management, property, infrastructure, facilities management, business or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
• Demonstrated experience in infrastructure planning, project development, facilities planning, property management or a related field within a large and complex organisation.
• Proven ability to coordinate infrastructure projects and planning initiatives involving multiple stakeholders, service providers and specialist consultants.
• Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, including the ability to interpret complex information, assess emerging issues and provide evidence-based recommendations.
• Demonstrated capability in data analysis and reporting to support space utilisation, asset management, investment prioritisation and strategic decision-making.
• Experience using project management, asset management, property or business information systems to manage information, monitor progress and track outcomes.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate with architects, engineers, project managers, contractors and other technical specialists, and communicate technical information clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
• Exceptional stakeholder engagement and written communication skills, with experience preparing business cases, strategic plans, reports, executive briefings and stakeholder communications.
