Michael & Son is looking for dynamic, career-minded go-getters for our accelerated Manager-In-Training (MIT) program. This fast-track leadership track is specifically designed for ambitious graduates or entry-level professionals ready to transition from academic success to operational leadership. You will learn to inspire, mentor, and scale our high-performing team of residential field technicians across various home service functions.

As an MIT, you will embark on a hands-on journey from day-one observer to fully autonomous leader. You will learn how to cultivate a positive team culture, drive consultative sales, and enforce elite customer service standards. We offer a highly competitive compensation package featuring a strong base salary plus performance-based bonuses tied directly to team revenue, retention, and customer satisfaction.

Your Leadership Journey & Training Focus

This program provides a milestone-driven pathway divided into four distinct operational phases:

• Phase 1: Field Immersion (Ride-Alongs) – You will start in the field doing ride-alongs with our expert technicians. This hands-on rotation ensures you master the day-to-day customer experience, technical terminology, and consultative sales process across our various service functions.
• Phase 2: Management Shadowing – You will work side-by-side with an experienced Service Manager. You will learn the mechanics of business operations, backend dispatching, inventory logistics, and how to conduct meetings.
• Phase 3: Understanding of Business Operations - You will spend time in our Call Center learning the front end of the business as well as time in other corporate departments.
• Phase 4: Assistant Manager Execution – You will step into an Assistant Manager role, taking direct responsibility for coaching a team of technicians. You will lead field coaching sessions, lead team meetings, track performance metrics, and resolve escalated homeowner issues under senior guidance.
• Phase 5: Full Manager Graduation – Upon successful completion of your training objectives, you will graduate and roll directly into a full, autonomous Service Manager role with full P&L accountability for your department and team.
