Description

The Manager of Imaging Quality and Accreditation leads medical records, remote monitored programs, clinical safety programs, regulatory compliance efforts, patient experience and quality initiatives across TGH Imaging’s multi-site outpatient radiology network. This role serves as the primary subject matter expert for imaging clinical safety, regulatory readiness, and policy/procedure standardization, develops/ administer training, competencies, and provides oversight for the resolution of patient complaints related to clinical care. Working collaboratively with modality leaders, radiologists, site administrators, and system leadership, the Manager ensures consistent, high-quality, and compliant imaging practices while advancing a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement through strong cross-functional partnerships.Essential Functions:• Lead and oversee enterprise-wide imaging quality and patient safety programs across all imaging modalities and ambulatory locations, supporting a culture of high reliability and continuous improvement.

  • Establish, monitor, analyze, and report imaging quality and safety metrics and dashboards (e.g., contrast events, radiation and MRI safety, falls, repeat rates, incident trends) through appropriate governance structures, including the Ambulatory Quality Council.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert for imaging clinical safety, infection prevention, radiation safety, MRI safety, patient preparation, and emergency response.
  • Collaborate and coordinate with site leaders on contrast administration and reactions, ensuing alignment across all out-patient clinic locations.
  • Partner with radiologists and modality leaders to develop, standardize, implement, and maintain imaging clinical protocols, patient care guidelines, and safety best practices aligned with evolving standards and technology.
  • Lead regulatory compliance and accreditation readiness efforts in partnership with system resources and systems, including ACR accreditation, state and federal requirements, and radiation, tracking system for all licenses and renewals and nuclear medicine licensing. ensuring continuous survey preparedness across all sites.
  • Integrates with system resources and standards to for regulatory inspections, audits, surveys, documentation, responses to findings, licensure tracking, and required reporting, including annual reporting to Corporate Compliance.

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's Degree Radiologic ScienceBachelor's Degree Healthcare AdministrationBachelor's Degree in a Related FieldWork Experience & Additional Information: Five (5) years of clinical radiology experienceTwo (2) years of leadership experience in outpatient imagingTechnical Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Strong knowledge of ACR/TJC, radiation safety, infection control, regulatory standards, contrast protocols, patient experience, and corporate compliance/PI methodologies.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of outpatient imaging regulatory and accreditation requirements, including ACR, state and federal regulations, radiation and nuclear medicine licensing, and infection prevention standards.
  • Strong understanding of imaging modalities and related clinical safety practices, including contrast administration, radiation safety, MRI safety, patient preparation, and remote operations
  • Demonstrated ability to develop, review, standardize, and maintain clinical policies, protocols, and guidelines across multiple outpatient locations, to include record and imaging retrieval for diagnostic comparisons.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to partner effectively with radiologists, modality leaders, site administrators, and system stakeholders to drive alignment and compliance across a multi-site network.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to train, educate, and support clinical staff on safety standards, regulatory requirements, and best practices.
