Job Description

Are you a results-driven professional who thrives on improving how work gets done? We are looking for a Manager II to join our Under the Roof (UTR) ACES team within Amazon's Ops Excellence organization. In this role, you will be responsible for streamlining processes and building mechanisms through data and metric evaluation in our Micro Fulfillment Centers (MFCs). You will work closely with ground operations stakeholders to identify quality gaps, remove barriers, and deliver meaningful results. If you are energized by solving problems at their root cause and creating lasting operational improvements, this is the role for you.

Key job responsibilities

  • Streamline MFC processes by applying lean manufacturing principles, evaluating data and metrics, and implementing solutions that reduce waste and improve quality outcomes.
  • Conduct audits and deep-dive analyses to ensure accuracy, compliance, and reliability of operational processes, using findings to prioritize root cause resolution and corrective actions.
  • Build and maintain mechanisms that drive consistent operational performance, partnering with ground operations stakeholders and site leadership to monitor key metrics and close gaps.
  • Identify automation and process improvement opportunities, proactively mitigating risks and ensuring consistent service-level performance across MFC operations.
  • Collaborate closely with ground operations teams to align on priorities, share data-driven insights, and implement workflow enhancements that improve quality and efficiency.

A day in the life

You start your day reviewing MFC operational metrics and identifying quality trends that need attention. From there, you connect with ground operations stakeholders to align on priorities and share progress on active improvement projects. You spend time conducting process audits, analyzing data to uncover root causes, and partnering with site leadership to implement workflow enhancements. You wrap up by documenting findings and preparing updates for leadership.

About the team

Our UTR ACES team sits within Amazon's Ops Excellence organization and is dedicated to raising the bar on how MFCs operate. We build reliable mechanisms and improve processes that directly impact quality for our customers. About Amazon

Amazon is guided by four principles: customer obsession rather than competitor focus, passion for invention, commitment to operational excellence, and long-term thinking. We are driven by the excitement of building technologies, inventing products, and providing services that change lives. We embrace new ways of doing things, make decisions quickly, and are not afraid to fail. We have the scope and capabilities of a large company, and the spirit and heart of a small one.

Together, Amazonians research and develop new technologies from Amazon Web Services to Alexa on behalf of our customers: shoppers, sellers, content creators, and developers around the world.

Our mission is to be Earth's most customer-centric company. Our actions, goals, projects, programs, and inventions begin and end with the customer top of mind.

You'll also hear us say that at Amazon, it's always "Day 1." What do we mean? That our approach remains the same as it was on Amazon's very first day - to make smart, fast decisions, stay nimble, invent, and focus on delighting our customers.
