Job Description

HR Manager, Shared Services

Build the HR experience behind the employee experience.

If you are an HR leader who believes Shared Services should be more than transactions, tickets and administration, this may be the opportunity for you.

ProAmpac is seeking an HR Manager, Shared Services to lead high-quality HR service delivery while helping us continuously improve how work gets done. This role combines HR operations, employee lifecycle management, process improvement, HR technology, analytics and change leadership.

You will lead the day-to-day delivery of assigned Shared Services functions while also helping shape more standardized, scalable and employee-focused HR processes. From annual talent and compensation programs to HR system enhancements, acquisitions and integrations, this role will have the opportunity to influence how HR supports an evolving organization.

WHY THIS ROLE MATTERS

Great Shared Services teams make HR easier to navigate.

In this role, you will help create an HR experience that is accurate, responsive and consistent while identifying opportunities to simplify processes, automate work and improve service delivery. You will partner across HR and the business, use data to identify opportunities, and help translate enterprise HR initiatives into effective operational execution.

WHAT YOU'LL OWN

  • Lead the daily operations of assigned HR Shared Services functions, ensuring accurate, timely and employee-focused service delivery.
  • Oversee key employee lifecycle processes, including onboarding, employee and organizational changes, leave administration support and offboarding.
  • Coordinate the operational execution of annual HR programs, including performance management, compensation planning and talent reviews.
  • Serve as an escalation point for complex employee and leader questions and help drive issues to resolution.
  • Identify opportunities to simplify and standardize HR processes through automation, technology and continuous improvement.
  • Lead operational improvement initiatives designed to reduce cycle time, improve quality and strengthen the employee and leader experience.
  • Maintain strong HR data integrity across HRIS and related systems.
  • Develop and monitor Shared Services metrics, including case volume, turnaround time, customer satisfaction and quality measures.
  • Translate data into insights and recommendations for HR leadership.
  • Support HR technology implementations, system enhancements, testing and change management.
  • Partner on enterprise HR initiatives, organizational changes, acquisitions and integrations.
  • Support audits and maintain appropriate HR documentation and records.
  • Contribute to broader HR transformation initiatives and projects.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field.
  • 5 to 7 years of progressive HR experience. Experience within HR Shared Services, corporate HR or HR operations is strongly preferred.
  • Experience leading or supporting HR projects, process improvement initiatives and operational change.
  • Strong working knowledge of HR systems such as UKG, ADP or similar HR technology platforms.
  • Experience supporting talent processes such as succession planning, career pathing, performance management or training programs.
  • Strong analytical capability with experience using HR data, reporting and metrics to identify trends and improve operations.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel.
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities, projects and deadlines in a fast-paced and evolving environment.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to work effectively with employees, leaders and senior leadership.
  • Sound judgment, discretion and a demonstrated commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
  • A proactive mindset. You identify problems, evaluate options and help move solutions forward.

THE KIND OF LEADER WHO WILL THRIVE HERE

You are energized by making things work better.

You can balance operational detail with the bigger picture. You care about the employee experience, but you also understand that great service requires strong processes, clean data, clear ownership and accountability.

Travel is expected approximately 10% of the time and may include air or vehicle travel and occasional overnight stays.
