The HR Manager will provide strategic HR leadership and manage human resources activities for Grace in Latin America. This individual will drive organizational capability within the assigned businesses to help Grace meet its growth and productivity goals. This position is based in Sorocaba, Brasil.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with business and operations leaders to develop organizational strategies and ensure organizational capability.
  • Provide consultation, design and guidance on organization design structures.
  • Ensure the assigned functions have the resource capability and bench strength to achieve Grace’s business goals and growth strategies.
  • End to end engagement in HR functional responsibilities, including talent acquisition, talent development, employee relations and communications, performance management, compensation and related areas. Work with HR Centers of Excellence (COE’s) to drive implementation and sustainability of key HR strategies.
  • Organize and execute on all key annual processes such as performance management, compensation planning and talent reviews and day to day HR processes.
  • Partner with Business, Operations and HR leadership on driving programs, policies, and procedures. Coach and enable leaders.
  • Participate in regular Operations meetings related to ISC and HR KPI’s (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Productivity/Costs)
  • Chemical Union relations: PLR (local Bonus), new procedures or agreements when needed.
  • Benefits management in terms of renewal, changes/exchanges in partnership and aligned with Corporate.
  • Ensure compliance with labor processes, regulations, taking preventive actions with guidance from the corporate Legal Dept.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business, or related field.
  • 5-7 years’ experience as a HR Business Partner supporting manufacturing site.
  • Experience driving employee engagement, communications strategies and positive labor and employee relations.
  • Proficiency in utilizing HR systems, data analysis and reporting capabilities.
  • Strong professional maturity and judgment and accustomed to dealing with confidential situations.
  • Ability to generate alternative solutions from diverse opinions.
  • Strong customer and results orientation
  • Global experience and awareness
  • Demonstrated change management skills.
  • Ability to work across teams, departments, businesses, and cultures.
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully manage multiple projects from conception to completion in a fast-paced, global, team environment.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Familiar with lean / six sigma principles
  • Fluent in Portuguese and English with advanced Spanish skills.
