Position Summary

First Urology is seeking an experienced and people-focused Human Resources Manager to oversee and support all aspects of human resources operations across the organization. The HR Manager will partner with physicians, clinical leaders, administrative staff, and practice leadership to develop and maintain effective HR programs that support employee engagement, regulatory compliance, professional development, and organizational growth.

The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of employment practices, healthcare workplace requirements, employee relations, recruiting, benefits administration, and performance management. This position requires discretion, sound judgment, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage confidential employee information.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensures compliance with current Employer, HR, Labor, Benefit and Payroll laws and ethics.
  • Provides HR/benefit support and education to management, staff and families.
  • Ensures that all Personnel/HR records are maintained according to state and federal regulations, while staying up-to-date on new legislation regarding human resources.
  • Maintains confidentiality, discretion and professionalism at all times.
  • Maintains HR documents and updates on internal website.
  • Updates Employee Handbook while establishing, and implementing policies and procedures.
  • Facilitates FMLA/STD/LTD in all aspects. Provides education/support to employees.
  • Provides data or reports as requested to management. Provides annual compensation letters.
  • Develops and Implements all aspects of the recruitment and hiring process.
  • Evaluates and recommends salaries to stay competitive among other employers.
  • Establishes new contacts and develops relationships with universities and employment resources.
  • Oversees the Recruiter in job postings, applicant screening and new hire recommendations.
  • Communicates with staff regarding new hires/terminations.
  • Coordinates initial training schedules for new hires.
  • Conducts orientations to be consistent with forms, employment information and policies.
  • Manages benefit deductions, ensuring correct amounts through payroll.
  • Maintains/facilitates physician benefits to be reported on schedule through payroll.
  • Oversees the Payroll Specialist in all aspects of processing payroll and assigned HR functions, such as Unemployment Claims, Worker’s Compensation, EEOC, and 401k.
  • Works with Insurance Brokers to find the best insurance plans available.
  • Facilitates open enrollment for all benefit plans with all locations and staff.
  • Oversees all benefit invoices and billing, resolving any issues and ensuring accuracy.
  • Performs exit interviews with voluntary terminations.
  • Processes Terminations, with Cobra/benefits, payouts of accrued time, and returning of company property.
  • Coordinates and maintains uniform program and policies for employees.
  • Keeps inventory and maintains records for Gift Card program.
  • Coordinates and maintains Sam’s Club Program for employees.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant HR experience.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office products, such as Word and Excel.
  • Experience with Applicant Tracking Systems and HRIS preferred.
  • Minimum bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience preferred
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Google Workspace
  • Experience with scheduling platforms, reporting tools, and marketing coordination is a plus
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with leadership and staff
  • High level of professionalism, discretion, and attention to detail
