What you’ll do:
• Serve as a Human Resource Strategic Business Partner for our Cork facility by providing counsel, advice and recommendations, related to Human Resources matters, to leaders at all levels of the organization.
• Assist in developing strategies that ensure the availability, quality and capability of Human Resources to achieve business plan objectives.
• Assist in developing plans for attracting and retaining key talent and ensuring engagement of the workforce.
• Lead recruiting, candidate selection, employee and team development, change management, and compensation planning for client group.
• Coach, advise and consult with management and employees regarding career development, job performance, disciplinary action, general employee relations, etc.
• Provide advice, counsel and support for benefits, training, compliance programs and HR Information Systems to client group.
• Administers policies and procedures for employment, placement, termination and employee transfers. Ensures the consistent and equitable application of organization policies and procedures.
• Takes appropriate actions to address and resolve employee relations issues.
• Guides client leaders through a process of developing answers, solutions, and/or strategies to deal fairly, legally and effectively with people-related matters. Forms a business partnership with senior leadership in the daily operation of the business.
• Provide guidance and ensure compliance with applicable legislation.

Preferred characteristics:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field, Master’s Degree preferred.
A minimum of 7+ years of human resource management experience preferred.
Experience of working in a Unionized Manufacturing Organization an advantage.
Experience of managing a team desireable.
Strong facilitation, negotiation and project management skills.
