In this role, you'll:

  • Provide specialist health and safety assurance across complex civil and rail environments
  • Analyse H&S data to identify trends, insights and assurance themes
  • Lead and oversee internal and external assurance engagements
  • Verify the effectiveness of critical risk controls and governance arrangements
  • Provide independent assurance over action close out and risk outcomes
  • Prepare concise, evidence based reports for executive and Board audiences
  • Partner with internal teams, SMEs and external providers to ensure assurance quality

About you

Proven experience in health and safety assurance, risk or performance reporting within complex or regulated environments

Strong capability in data analysis and insight development, including advanced use of Excel and Power BI dashboards

Experience leading or overseeing assurance engagements (internal or external), rather than frontline compliance auditing

Exposure to:

  • Civil infrastructure construction
  • Rail projects and rail safety environments
  • Heavy vehicle compliance
  • Occupational health and hygiene risks and controls

Proven experience preparing assurance reports, translating complex information into clear assurance narratives.

Essentials:

  • Tertiary qualification (minimum Cert IV WHS or Rail Safety)
  • Experience working in government, large infrastructure programs or highly regulated industries (desirable)
