Roles & responsibilities
1. Solution Architecture & Technical Ownership
Own end-to-end solution architecture for complex ATA(Audit Technology Alliance) initiatives supporting audit platforms, data-driven audit solutions, and audit workflow systems.
Design solution, transition, and target architectures aligned with audit use cases, enterprise standards, and regulatory requirements.
Lead architecture design for cloud-native, hybrid, and platform-based solutions, primarily on Microsoft Azure.
Produce and maintain high-quality architecture artifacts including solution diagrams, design documents, and architecture decision records.
Act as the technical authority and escalation point for architecture, performance, scalability, reliability, and security decisions.
2. Audit Technology Platform & Capability Focus
Architect solutions for audit enablement platforms, including:
Audit data ingestion, processing, and analytics platforms
Workflow orchestration and audit lifecycle management systems
Integration with audit tools, risk platforms, and external data sources
Design scalable solutions leveraging data, analytics, AI, and Generative AI to enhance audit quality, efficiency, and insights.
Support modernization of audit technology platforms (legacy to cloud-native / PaaS-based architectures).
Identify opportunities for standardization, reuse, optimization, and cost efficiency across ATA solutions.
3. Architecture Governance, Risk & Compliance
Ensure solutions comply with KPMG security, audit, risk, privacy, and regulatory standards.
Participate in architecture design reviews, audit technology governance forums, and technical assurance activities.
Ensure architectures are secure-by-design, resilient, and compliant with audit and data governance requirements.
Collaborate closely with security, risk, data governance, and infrastructure teams.
4. Stakeholder Engagement
Clearly articulate architecture options, trade-offs, risks, and recommendations to senior technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Act as a trusted technical advisor for audit technology initiatives and strategic decisions.
5. Technical Mentoring & Community Contribution
Provide technical mentoring and guidance to junior architects and engineers (without formal line management).
Contribute to ATA architecture standards, reference architectures, patterns, and best practices.
Support capability building through knowledge sharing, design reviews, and architecture community activities.
6. Innovation & Continuous Improvement
Stay current with Azure services, data platforms, AI advancements, and audit technology trends.
Drive or contribute to proofs of concept (PoCs), accelerators, and reusable audit technology components.
Continuously improve solution quality through innovation, experimentation, and engineering excellence.

Mandatory technical & functional skills
Strong expertise in solution architecture, preferably within data, analytics, platform, or audit technology domains.
Deep hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS).
Strong knowledge of:
Data platforms, integration, and analytics architectures
Container platforms (Docker, Kubernetes, AKS)
Azure DevOps, CI/CD, and DevSecOps practices
Infrastructure as Code (ARM, Bicep, Terraform)
Solid understanding of integration patterns, APIs, messaging, and event-driven architectures.
Proficiency in architecture modeling and documentation (ArchiMate, BPMN, Visio, PowerPoint).
This role is for you if you have the below
Educational qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
Work experience
9 -13+ years of overall IT experience with strong focus on solution architecture, platforms, or data-centric systems.
Prior experience in audit systems, risk platforms, data analytics, or regulated enterprise environments is good to have.
Azure certifications such as Azure Solutions Architect Expert are highly desirable.
