The Manager Group Financial Reporting will support the preparation and review of consolidated financial statements in accordance with IFRS, SIX, and Swiss regulatory requirements, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery across monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting cycles. You will collaborate closely with regional finance teams to gather and validate financial data, develop expertise in key accounting topics, and contribute to continuous improvement of reporting processes and systems.
In addition, you will play an active role in strategic finance projects, including business combinations and integrations. This role offers a dynamic, international environment with broad exposure across the organization and opportunities to further develop both technical and business partnering skills.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
Apply business and analytical skills to various reporting activities and projects in group financial reporting and consolidation.
Tasks will include:
Support the preparation of the audited annual consolidated financial statements, produced in accordance with IFRS and SIX requirements.
Develop a detailed knowledge of specific IFRS topics, e.g. taxes, defined benefits, revenue recognition or leasing. Share the key issues with the regional finance teams.
Review of the group’s monthly consolidated financial statements including analyzing financial data to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Preparation of quarterly consolidated financial reporting to shareholders.
Collaborate with finance teams across entities to collect and validate financial information for consolidation.
Preparation of statutory financial statements including Swiss entities according to the Swiss Code of Obligations.
Business contact for the group’s financial reporting system, Hyperion Financial Management.
Involvement in a range of projects including business combinations, disposals, and post-acquisition financial integration.
The managed rotation of the tasks above to help ensure knowledge is shared and that there is built‑in flexibility within the reporting team.
Participate in ad‑hoc activities with the regional and local finance teams across the organization.
Core Competencies and Requirements
Education
Chartered Accountant, preferably Swiss qualified, or equivalent together with a Bachelor’s degree, or qualified by experience in a financial consolidation team of a multinational business
Relevant Master’s degree an advantage
Professional training undertaken in one of the Big 4 accounting firms or in the headquarters finance function of a major multinational business
Work Experience
5+ years of relevant experience in a global business or a major firm of Chartered Accountants
Extensive group multi‑currency consolidation and reporting experience in a challenging, fast‑changing environment
Working knowledge of accounting systems, especially SAP and HFM (advantage)
Successful project management experience delivering on-time and on-quality under pressure
Technical / Language Skills
Strong working knowledge of IFRS and the Swiss Code of Obligations
Strong working knowledge of data analytics and interpretation using statistical analysis and data visualization tools (MS Office, Power BI, SQL as a plus)
Experience with financial reporting and consolidation systems, preferably HFM
Fluent in English; other major languages a plus
