About the role
The Manager, Group Corporate Entities & Specialist Accounting is responsible for delivery of specialist corporate accounting and reporting activities, with accountability for close, forecasting and controls, while supporting wider Corporate & Statutory CoE priorities
Key responsibilities
· Deliver month-end and quarter-end accounting for share-based payments, employee benefits (IFRS2) and corporate sundry, including posting journals and preparing GL account reconciliations
· Prepare forecasts, budgets and variance analysis for specialist corporate cost areas.
· Manage accounting for Employee Benefit Trusts and related recharges.
· Support Directors’ Remuneration Report disclosures and audit queries, working with highly confidential data
· Act as finance business partner for Corporate Insurance activities.
· Support with half year end and year end pension accounting in line with IAS 19.
· Operate SOX-compliant controls and balance sheet governance.
· Support statutory and corporate entity activities as required by the CoE.
· Drive process improvements and support team capability development.
Qualifications and skills
Essential
· Degree (or equivalent) in Finance or Accounting.
· ACA / ACCA (or equivalent) qualified or in progress.
· 8–12 years of relevant experience in financial accounting, with strong exposure to corporate or specialist accounting areas.
· Strong knowledge of IFRS, particularly in areas such as employee benefits, share-based payments, or corporate accounting.
· Proven experience in month-end close, forecasting, and variance analysis in a controlled environment, including journal postings and GL reconciliations.
· 3–5 years of experience operating within a SOX or internal control framework.
· Strong attention to detail with a disciplined control and documentation mindset.
· Effective communication skills with the ability to manage multiple reporting deadlines.
· Experience working with highly confidential financial data.
Preferred
· Experience of 2–4 years in share-based payments, employee benefits, or corporate sundry accounting.
· Exposure to Directors’ Remuneration or Annual Report disclosures.
· Experience supporting statutory reporting or audit processes.
· Familiarity with group reporting or consolidation systems (e.g., SAP FC or similar).
