Manager, Grants Performance & Compliance, Gulf Coast TradeUP Careers (Grant Funded)-26001TH

The Grant Performance and Compliance Manager will manage an effective system of performance management and compliance for all grant-funded projects.

Works with a variety of grant Project Managers/Principal Investigators to facilitate project implementation, oversees timely performance reporting, and ensures compliance with funding agency regulations.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Monitor all federal and state grant programs for compliance with federal, state, and College regulations, policies, and procedures.

Provide technical assistance and training to Project Managers/Principal Investigators, Sub-Grantees, and System-wide faculty and staff.

Manage quality control efforts to ensure that external funding for projects is used effectively.

Manage systematic efforts to identify and minimize risks arising from performance and compliance issues of grant-funded projects.

Coordinate and supervise grant management staff activities.

Maintain an ongoing working relationship with Finance and Accounting Department to ensure adherence to institutional policies.

Ensure effective management of internal department data and records management.

Maintain compliance manual(s) and provide Project Managers/Principal Investigators with current regulations and compliance information.

Develop and manage the process to evaluate the institutional impact of grants.

Maintain knowledge of practices used by various local, state, and federal funding agencies and organizations.

Develop and maintain effective training and reference materials for Project Managers/Principal Investigators.

Conduct routine audits to ensure compliance of grant-funded projects with documentation requirements.

Assist with the implementation of new grant-related policies and procedures.

Perform other duties, tasks and assignments as required.

QUALIFICATIONS
Education & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 5 years in grants management and compliance required, including 3 years of supervisory experience
  • Grant audit and compliance experience preferred
Licensing & Certification
  • Valid Texas Driver License

Working Conditions
General Office. Must be able to perform all job requirements with or without reasonable accommodations; remain in a stationary position during shift; move items weighing up to 25 pounds; position self to operate job equipment; apply established protocols in a timely manner. Must access, input and retrieve information from technology devices; communicate with others to accomplish job requirements. May be required to work after hours to include weekends and holidays.
