About the Role
As a member of the BU Car Audio Aftermarket, Global Product Line Management Team, this position is responsible for executing new products to the Regional Business Units in a timely and profitable manner. This includes providing a clear product roadmap and timeline to deliver differentiated and profitable growth over the product life-cycle based on a deep understanding of customer and market needs. This role will drive revenue and margin expansion of existing product lines through effective sales force & channel initiatives and pricing strategies through the Regional Business Units.
What You Will Do
- Lead function teams to find proper concepts to explore meaningful solutions for consumer pain points.
- Translate product strategy and vision and prioritize into a rolling 4-year product roadmap.
- Define market-winning products that differentiate from competitors, increase market share and expand margins.
- Identify requirements and features by collaborating with engineering, program management, and sales teams.
- Product life cycle management.
- Adapt to and manage change to the strategic direction of the company and respond rapidly to market opportunities.
- Identify and develop new product opportunities globally.
- Leverage technologies within HARMAN to determine future products by working closely with engineering team.
- Ensure product documentation is accurate, traceable and updated regularly for many cross functional participants.
What You Need to Be Successful
- 5-7 years of related consumer electronic product management experience in bringing innovative products that matter to consumers to market.
- Experience working with a global team.
- Preferred experience with car aftermarket audio products – Head Unit or Amplifier & DSP.
- Demonstrated Track Record of Growth: Ability to grow and forecast existing product lines, and develop and commercialize new products in a timely and profitable manner. Experience developing a product roadmap across a variety of business models is helpful.
- High Customer Orientation: Recognition and credibility with the customer as a trusted, collaborative and productive partner. Understands what it takes to win in the market place.
- Good Financial Sense: Understands a P&L with strong business acumen; analytical and numbers-driven decision making.
- Leadership Skills: Exceptional planning and organizational skills. Experience participating in matrix, global, cross-functional teams, which require collaborative planning with members of other sales groups, product groups, operations, marketing, etc.
- Results and Detail Oriented: Holds others accountable for commitments.
- Bachelor’s degree or above.
- Fluent English.

- Change Agent: Be able to think out of the box and formulate new plans or workarounds when roadblocks or priorities change.
- Innovation Orientation: A critical contribution of this position is to help develop the product roadmap and create new-to-the-world products to compete. Previous experience working with consumers and customers to bring new meaningful products to market.
- Team Building and Communication: Proven experience working within a global, cross-functional team. Working closely with the externally focused and high commercial Region Business Units and engineering & sourcing teams.
- Self-Awareness: Accept responsibility for personal development and actions. Have clear objectives and strives to exceed them. Take ownership for personal career and skill development
