We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Subject-Matter Expert - Position and Risk Transfer Control

In this role, you will:

  • Key position change is substantiated and reported accordingly.
  • Ensure reconciliations breaks are identified and fixed per task deadline.
  • Manage the end-to-end process for all retail FX and IR buy-in process.
  • Perform the daily analysis and reconciliations across TREATS (Treasury) and HUB (Retail) systems.
  • Ensure that processes adhere to appropriate quality standards, with reference to internal and external compliance rules, and are comprehensively documented. Ensure that cover for running each process is adequate within the team by ongoing training and development of staff
  • Ensure the quality of data inputs and FX / IR position is sound, through designing and implementing appropriate controls and checks.
  • Communicate issues, root cause and potential options to remediate.
  • Review risk reports before they are distributed to traders and dealers and ensure SLAs are being adhered
  • Provide insight into opportunities to improve the process and controls in a changing regulatory environment
  • Participate in user testing of system enhancements or changes to ensure impact on reconciliation and reports is as desired.
  • Lead Desk Instruction Manual (DIM) updates and regular reviews
  • Communicate and implement procedural changes and initiatives
  • Encourage and support initiatives originating within the team for implementation and recognition.
  • Create a robust team environment where skills and knowledge openly shared to achieve team and business goals. Providing assistance on referred/technical issues.
  • Share knowledge, best practice and experience with colleagues at all levels to ensure they achieve their goals and business objectives.
  • Guide and provide feedback to staff on their development and ways of improvement that could enhance personal skills and knowledge to meet business objectives.
  • Effectively work and interact with staff at all levels within and outside

To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in the Financial Service Industry, preferably in a Market Operations or Product Control.
  • Experience with reconciliations and excel based reporting.
  • Strong Excel skills required
  • Experience in documenting processes, developing KPIs and troubleshooting.
  • Lateral thinking and ability to explain complex issues in a simple but informative manner
  • Well-organized with a good attention to detail.
  • Ability to work under pressure and to tight time-lines
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Retail/Markets Foreign Exchange and Interest Rate banking product knowledge is desired.
  • VBA and Access skills desirable
  • Qualification in finance, accounting or business management is ideal.

Candidate with less relevant experience or skills may be offered a lower Global Career Band than stated above.

Due to the urgent hiring need, candidates with immediate right to work locally and no relocation need will be prioritised.
