This role will drive alignment across drayage, LTL, pickup and delivery, and other inland services, while partnering closely with global product, regional operations, pricing, and commercial teams.

The position is accountable for optimizing carrier procurement and relationships, improving financial performance (AGP), and standardizing processes, governance, and tools across the region. The successful candidate will play a critical leadership role in building a scalable, data-driven Inland product, enhancing service quality, and enabling consistent, customer-centric logistics solutions across APAC.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the APAC Inland product strategy and execution roadmap in alignment with global Inland priorities, regional business needs, and customer requirements

  • Build, develop, and manage a regional Inland team across APAC, providing leadership, coaching, performance management, and clear role accountability

  • Own regional procurement and carrier relationship management for inland services, including sourcing strategy, carrier segmentation, contract alignment, rate governance, capacity planning, and service performance.

  • Partner with regional operations, pricing, commercial, and product teams to create a unified Inland offering that connects ocean, air, and inland solutions into a consistent customer experience.

  • Drive AGP and volume performance by monitoring inland financial results, identifying margin opportunities, addressing negative trends, and influencing corrective actions with regional stakeholders.

  • Establish and maintain regional carrier scorecards, KPIs, business reviews, and performance improvement plans to improve quality, cost, reliability, and scalability

  • Support the implementation and adoption of global Inland tools, processes, workspaces, dashboards, bid management practices, rate card governance, and carrier selection standards.

  • Ensure regional data accuracy for carrier master lists, contracted rates, routing guidance, procurement outputs, and performance reporting.

  • Lead change management across APAC by influencing country, branch, CEC, ROL, operations, and commercial leaders to adopt a standardized product-led Inland model.

  • Represent APAC Inland in global leadership forums, cross-regional working groups, customer discussions, and internal business reviews.

  • Identify and convert inland growth opportunities, including shipments moving without an attached inland leg, and partner with commercial teams to improve revenue attachment.

  • Support customer-facing engagements by explaining Inland capabilities, market conditions, carrier options, service standards, and solution design considerations.

  • Partner with Product Strategy Enablement to improve procurement processes, tools, scorecards, dashboards, and operating cadences across the region.

  • Champion continuous improvement, automation, and data-driven decision making across the regional Inland network.

  • Other duties or responsibilities as assigned according to team, country, or regional business requirements.

Team Leadership

  • Operate as the primary regional leader for APAC Inland, creating clarity, accountability, and alignment across countries and functions.

  • Build trust with regional operations and commercial leaders while influencing adoption of common carrier strategies, procurement standards, and product governance.

  • Develop team members from operational and procurement backgrounds into product-minded leaders who can manage data, carriers, customer needs, and regional execution.

  • Translate global strategy into practical regional actions, including 30/60/90-day plans, market reviews, procurement priorities, and measurable performance outcomes.

  • Demonstrate adaptability, curiosity, and openness to new technologies, automation, analytics, and standardized ways of working

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university, or equivalent relevant work experience.

  • Minimum 5 years of global forwarding, logistics, inland transportation, procurement, pricing, product, or operations experience.

  • Minimum 2 years of experience leading teams, projects, or cross-functional initiatives.

  • Demonstrated experience with inland logistics services such as drayage, LTL, pickup and delivery, carrier management, transportation procurement, or regional ground transportation operations.

  • Strong financial and analytical acumen, including the ability to interpret AGP, volume, cost, rate, carrier, and service performance data.

  • Demonstrated ability to influence across a matrixed regional environment without direct authority.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present recommendations to regional and global leaders.

  • Ability to work across time zones and collaborate with teams in North Asia, Southeast Asia, India, Oceania, and global leadership groups.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior APAC regional logistics experience, with knowledge of country-levl market differences, carrier landscapes, and operational practices.

  • Experience building or scaling a regional product, procurement, or carrier management function.

  • Experience using data, dashboards, Excel, Power BI, Snowflake, procurement platforms, or workflow tools to manage performance and drive decisions.

  • Experience with carrier scorecards, bid management, rate card governance, contract maintenance, or procurement automation tools.

  • Customer-facing experience supporting solution design, commercial engagement, or product education.

  • Strong change management experience, including the ability to shift teams from branch-led or local processes to a regional product-led operating model.

  • Ability to speak one or more regional languages relevant to APAC markets is beneficial.

  • Values a diverse and inclusive work environment.
