Manager - GC AI Assistant product owner

Your role
Key responsibilities in your new role

1. Product Ownership & Delivery

• Own the end-to-end lifecycle of AI products (e.g., AI chatbot, recommendation engines, automation solutions, local LLMs)
• Act as the single accountable owner for the GC AI portfolio, driving governance, roadmap execution, stakeholder alignment, operational excellence, and delivery of all AI-related programs, services, and capabilities.
• Stay updated on the latest advancements in AI technologies and their applications in sales and customer engagement in the market.
• Define and manage product backlog, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
• Prioritize features based on business value, compliance needs, and technical feasibility.
• Drive Agile development with IT and teams.
• Act as the business owner, own the overall business strategy, value realization, adoption, and performance of all GC AI initiatives. Define business priorities, success metrics, investment decisions, and ensure measurable business impact across the organization.

2. Product Strategy & Roadmap

• Define AI product vision and roadmap for China market
• Align with Global product strategy while adapting to local regulatory and business requirements.
• Identify opportunities to leverage AI to improve customer experience and operational efficiency.

3. AI Solution Adoption & Optimization

• Conduct market research to identify trends, opportunities, and competitors in the AI-driven tools space.
• Use data and insights to inform product decisions, balance technical feasibility, business value, and customer needs in decision-making processes.
• Continuously monitor and improve the product based on user feedback, performance metrics, and the market demands.

4. Compliance & Risk Management

• Ensure AI products comply with China regulatory requirements (e.g., MLPS, data security, AI governance).
• Work closely with Cyber Security and Legal to manage risks.
• Proactively identify potential compliance gaps and drive mitigation actions.

5. Stakeholder Management

• Negotiate and communicate effectively with stakeholders, including sales teams, IT, marketing, and senior management.
• Facilitate collaboration between cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and successful product delivery.

Your profile
Qualifications and skills to help you succeed

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field.
• 8+ years’ experience in product management / product ownership /digital product delivery.
• Strong understanding and experience working with AI/ML products(e.g., chatbot, NLP, recommendation systems).
• Up-to-date knowledge of market trends and competitive AI products and ability to analyze market data and translate insights into actionable strategies.
• Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Experience working in global and cross-functional environments.
• Demonstrates strong ownership and accountability, with the ability to drive initiatives end-to-end in a complex and cross-functional environment.
• Proactively identifies issues, risks, and opportunities, and takes initiative to propose and implement solutions.
• Shows a high level of adaptability and resilience in a fast-changing regulatory and business environment, especially in the AI domain.
• Maintains a collaborative and open mindset, fostering trust and alignment across global and regional stakeholders.
• Communicates clearly and effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences, ensuring transparency and shared understanding.
• Balances global alignment with strong local ownership, ensuring solutions are both compliant and practical for China market needs.
• Demonstrates a strong sense of responsibility in handling data and AIuse cases, with a commitment to ethical and Responsible AI principles.
• Drives continuous improvement by learning from feedback, data insights, and evolving market practices.
• Demonstrates strong awareness of data privacy, AI ethics, and regulatory compliance, ensuring all solutions are developed and deployed responsibly.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with China-specific compliance frameworks (e.g., MLPS,data regulations).
• Familiarity with enterprise IT architecture and cloud platforms.
• Understanding of AI governance and responsible AI practices.

• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Ability to balance business needs, technical feasibility, and compliance requirements.
• Fluent in English (working with global teams); Chinese is a must.
