Position at a Glance

The SKU Analysis and BOM Maintenance SME - GBS will join our Supply Chain Finance team in Mexico City as part of our Global Capability Center. This role will support and work directly with our local plant controllers who are based in our factories in North America. The key responsibilities include the oversite of creating and maintaining financial accuracy and integrity of all Bill of Materials data, ensuring alignment with corporate financial reporting, cost analysis, and profitability goals. This role requires a deep understanding of manufacturing processes and their financial implications, acting as the primary point of contact for complex issues related to product cost and BOM structure. This position will also manage data that is entered into a labor costing system to ensure updated and accurate outputs for our labor standards. This position reports to the SME Lead – GBS and indirectly into the on-shore plant controllers. The ideal candidate has deep technical knowledge of large data set management applied to finance environment with strong analytical mind-set and attention to details, associated with a collaborative approach.

What’s on Menu?

• BOM Creation / Maintenance: Oversee and manage the creation and maintenance of all new and existing Bill of Materials for the manufacturing plants. Including calculating and maintaining scrap rates, demonstrated outputs, and labor usage per SKU.

• SKU Analysis: Analyze SKUs manufactured at multiple plants to identify lowest cost producer and work with the scheduling team to schedule appropriately.

• Process Improvement & System Support: Lead continuous improvement initiatives related to financial processes and data collection. Act as the SME for relevant ERP (e.g., SAP) and planning systems, assisting with data validation, issue resolution, and user training.

• Budgeting: Work with plant finance to ensure all production BOMs are correct and up to date to prepare standard cost rolls. Including working with plant finance to work through SKU level inconsistencies or errors.

• Process improvement: Identify and lead initiatives to improve BOM Creation processes, reporting, and data integrity related to manufacturing finance.

• Cost Accounting and Analysis: Manage and update standard costs for all components and finished goods, performing regular variance analysis (standard vs. actual costs) and providing detailed explanations to management.

1. Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Engineering, Data Scientist, Data Engineering or a related field;

2. Experience

• 3+ years of relevant experience;

• Proficient with software such as Excel (Power Pivot), Snowflake, PowerBi and ability to work with heavy data set to create, modify and ensure accuracy of complex spreadsheets;

• Good knowledge of ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.) is considered a plus;

• Strong analytical and numerical skills, with attention to detail;

• Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal;

• Eagerness to learn and grow within a global finance environment;
