We are looking for a highly experienced Full Stack Java Engineer – Technical Lead / Architect with 15–18 years of hands-on software engineering experience to design, develop, and maintain scalable enterprise applications and distributed systems.

The ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in Core Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, REST APIs, modern frontend frameworks, and relational databases, along with a solid understanding of cloud technologies, system architecture, and DevOps practices.

This is a hands-on technical leadership role focused on end-to-end engineering ownership, architectural decision-making, application performance, and technical excellence. The role also involves mentoring developers and collaborating with cross-functional teams, without direct people-management responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable, high-performance applications using Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, and modern frontend frameworks.
• Build and integrate RESTful APIs and distributed systems following established architectural principles.
• Develop responsive and maintainable user interfaces using ReactJS, Angular, or Vue.js.
• Translate business requirements and user stories into technical designs, implementation plans, and development tasks.
• Take end-to-end technical ownership of application development, deployment, maintenance, and production support.
• Design scalable system architectures that emphasize reliability, loose coupling, service encapsulation, and maintainability.
• Optimize application performance, database efficiency, scalability, and security.
• Work with relational databases, including schema design, SQL development, query optimization, and data access frameworks such as Hibernate/JPA.
• Provide technical guidance through code reviews, architectural discussions, documentation, and knowledge sharing.
• Establish and promote engineering best practices for automated testing, CI/CD, code quality, and Agile development.
• Implement and improve monitoring, logging, alerting, and observability to maintain application health and reliability.
• Identify technical risks, troubleshoot complex issues, conduct root-cause analysis, and implement sustainable solutions.
• Collaborate with Product, UX, QA, DevOps, and engineering teams to deliver business-critical applications.
• Support production environments and participate in on-call rotations when required.
• Leverage approved AI-assisted development tools in accordance with organisational policies.
• Contribute to continuous improvements in system architecture, development workflows, and engineering standards.

What Makes You a Great Fit

• 15–18 years of hands-on software engineering experience, including ownership of complex enterprise applications.
• Strong proficiency in Core Java, Spring Framework, and Spring Boot.
• Extensive experience building microservices, RESTful APIs, and distributed systems.
• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming, design patterns, system architecture, and software engineering fundamentals.
• Hands-on experience with ReactJS, Angular, or Vue.js, along with JavaScript and modern frontend development practices.
• Strong expertise in relational databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL, including schema design, SQL queries, and performance optimization.
• Proven ability to design scalable, secure, reliable, and maintainable enterprise applications.
• Experience with cloud platforms, preferably AWS, and familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform.
• Knowledge of messaging and streaming technologies such as Apache Kafka, AWS Kinesis, SNS, or SQS is an advantage.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, automated deployments, testing frameworks, and modern DevOps practices.
• Understanding of application monitoring, observability, operational risks, and production reliability.
• Ability to take independent technical decisions and drive solutions from architecture and design through production deployment.
• Experience mentoring developers, conducting code reviews, and promoting strong engineering practices without requiring direct people-management responsibilities.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with product and engineering teams in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience in AdTech, programmatic advertising, or real-time bidding (RTB) platforms is an added advantage.
• A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience is preferred.
