Manager, FP&A Reporting
The Manager, FP&A Reporting will lead the design, execution, and delivery of the company’s internal management reporting and external financial reporting narratives. This pivotal role sits at the intersection of operational finance, corporate finance, and investor relations—serving as the connective tissue between commercial volume drivers and financial outcomes in a fast-moving CPG environment.
The ideal candidate brings a blend of analytical rigor and executive-level communication skills, translating complex financial data into clear, decision-ready insights for senior leadership and the Board of Directors. Externally, this role owns the accuracy, integrity, and compliance of Non-GAAP disclosures, ensuring that what we report to investors reflects both the letter and the spirit of our financial performance.
*The ideal candidate will be based in Hanover and work a hybrid schedule, with 1- 2 days in office per week.
What You’ll Own:
- Management Reporting & Strategic Analytics
- Executive Dashboards: Design, produce, and continuously improve monthly and quarterly management reporting packages for the C-suite and Board of Directors, with an emphasis on automation, visual clarity, and decision relevance.
- Performance Variance Analysis: Deliver rigorous variance analysis explaining deviations between actuals, budget, and forecast—connecting financial results to commercial, operational, and macroeconomic drivers with actionable recommendations.
- KPI Framework Ownership: Own the definition, tracking, and reporting of enterprise KPIs, ensuring metrics are consistently defined, reliably sourced, and meaningful to their intended audiences. Evolve the KPI framework as the business grows.
- Cross-Functional Analytics: Serve as a strategic finance partner to commercial and operational leaders, providing data-driven insights and scenario analysis to support business decisions.
- External GAAP & Non-GAAP Reporting
- Earnings Narrative Support: Partner with Corporate Finance and Investor Relations to prepare quarterly earnings releases, investor presentations, and earnings call scripts—ensuring financial narratives are accurate, consistent, and compelling.
- Non-GAAP Governance: Own end-to-end responsibility for Non-GAAP calculations, reconciliations, and disclosures, ensuring full compliance with SEC guidelines and internal governance standards. Proactively identify and address emerging disclosure issues.
- MD&A Collaboration: Contribute to the MD&A sections of 10-Q and 10-K filings, translating quantitative results into clear, well-supported narratives that articulate the “why” behind the numbers for investors and regulators.
- System & Process Optimization
- EPM & Data Governance: Drive standardization and automation of financial reporting across ERP and EPM platforms (Microsoft D365 and OneStream), establishing a single source of truth for both financial and volumetric data. Champion data governance and reporting consistency across the FP&A function.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements that reduce manual effort, increase reporting speed, and enhance data accuracy across the management and external reporting cycles.
What You Bring:
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field required.
- MBA or advanced degree (e.g., CPA, CFA) preferred.
Experience
- 5+ years of progressive experience in FP&A, corporate finance, public accounting, or financial reporting.
- Experience at a publicly traded company is strongly preferred; CPG industry background is a significant plus.
- Demonstrated experience with Non-GAAP reporting frameworks, SEC disclosure requirements, or MD&A preparation is highly desirable.
Skills
- Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to synthesize large data sets into clear executive-level narratives.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; adept at conveying complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; working knowledge of Power BI, Microsoft D365, and OneStream.
- Proven ability to manage multiple high-priority workstreams simultaneously with strong attention to detail and deadlines.
