
The Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis will support Manulife Investment Management (MIM) Public Markets by developing deep institutional knowledge of the business and its financials. This role leads financial analysis and annual planning through robust financial modeling, trend analysis, forecasting, sensitivities, and key performance metrics such as earnings, flows, and AUM. The Manager will deliver high‑quality monthly and quarterly reporting and presentations, leveraging advanced Essbase and Smart View expertise to ensure efficient and accurate financial planning and reporting.
Position Responsibilities:
Acquire deep institutional knowledge of the Manulife Investment Management (MIM) Private Markets business and its financials
Build, and maintain financial models to support the evolving needs of the business
Play a lead role in the financial analysis, forecasting and annual planning for the business, including investigation of trends, model projections, sensitivities, key metrics (e.g. earnings, flows, AUMA), preparation of presentation decks, and ad hoc requests as required
Prepare high-quality monthly and quarterly reports, dashboards and presentations
Leverage in-depth Essbase / Smart View and Anaplan knowledge to efficiently produce financial planning and reporting
Required Qualifications:
6 to 8 years of related experience including solid understanding of financial reporting and forecasting
Bachelor’s Degree preferably in Accounting or Finance
Strong computer skills and an expert proficiency using MS Excel
Strong verbal and written skills, ability to present to large groups
Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment with a sense of urgency
Preferred Qualifications:
CPA and/or advanced degree highly preferred
Experience with Essbase/Smartview and Anaplan
Strong knowledge of Wealth management industry considered a plus
Proven problem solving and business/financial analysis skills, creative and resourceful in identifying issues and developing solutions

Salary range is expected to be between
$92,900.00 CAD - $142,900.00 CAD
Employees also have the opportunity to participate in incentive programs and earn incentive compensation tied to business and individual performance.
