
Main Responsibilities
Firewall Administration
Manage and maintain enterprise firewalls (e.g., Palo Alto, Checkpoint, F5) across data centers, offices, and branches.
Implement and enforce network security policies, access control lists (ACLs), and VPN configurations.
Monitor firewall logs and alerts to detect and respond to potential threats.
Support secure and reliable connectivity between Hong Kong and Mainland China branches.
Load Balancer Management
Administer load balancing platforms (e.g., F5 BIG-IP) to ensure high availability and performance of critical applications.
Configure and optimize load balancing rules, SSL offloading, and traffic distribution.
Troubleshoot application delivery issues and coordinate with application and infrastructure teams.
System Monitoring and Capacity Planning
Configure and support SNMP messaging for system monitoring integration.
Monitor system performance and resource usage to support proactive planning.
Provide annual capacity planning reports covering system utilization and growth forecasts.
Patch and Upgrade
Perform firmware and software upgrades and patch management to address end-of-support and security vulnerabilities.
Upgrade any legacy End-of-Support (EOS) hardware and software components to ensure continued vendor support and system reliability
Governance & Reporting
Maintain documentation for audits and compliance reviews.
Conduct System Acceptance Testing (SAT) and user account reviews on a semi-annual basis.
Ensure compliance with cross-border data transmission regulations and internal security standards.
Disaster Recovery & Resilience
Setup and maintain configuration backup to ensure recoverability.
Prepare and maintain system disaster recovery (DR) failover procedures.
Activate and support DR systems during annual DR drills.
Incident & Problem Management
Act as first-line response for firewall and load balancer-related incident resolution efforts, perform root cause analysis, and implement preventive and corrective actions.
Project & Change Management
Coordinate in infrastructure projects involving firewall and load balancer deployments or upgrades.
Liaise with vendors for procurement, installation, support of relevant hardware and software.
