Manages and conducts the analysis of business processes affecting financial accounting functions. In coordination with IT Department, plans and implements process improvement projects to improve the efficiency and quality of service provided by the Accounting Department, including transaction processing, data management and reporting. Uses experience and expertise to design new solutions to problems. Represents the Financial Accounting Department on ERP and other IT implementations. This position typically works under limited supervision and direction. Incumbents of this position will regularly exercise discretionary and substantial decision-making authority.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Minimum Job Requirements:
Four-year college degree, or equivalent, in finance/accounting or equivalent, plus a minimum of eight years experience in a financial accounting environment including implementation or upgrade of financial accounting systems. Accounting qualifications or Masters in Business Administration preferred. Five years or more of experience with SAP preferred. Thorough working knowledge of financial applications, interfacing between applications, data structure and retrieval. Ability to prioritize tasks, handle multiple projects and work under deadlines. Ability to work at a computer for extended periods of time.
