Job Description

The Finance Services Manager I is responsible for the strategic leadership, accounting, and financial support and process guidance related to the management of local, national, cross-license, and franchise trade spend programs for BSNA-supported bottlers. This position will directly support a broad range of stakeholders, including Business Services client bottlers, NAOU, Brand teams, and others as required. Key areas of focus for the role include leadership and management routines within the following areas:

  • Strategic Business Initiatives
  • Performance Measurement and KBIs
  • Risk Assessment and Analysis
  • Process Transformation
  • Process Improvement and Standardization
  • Data Integrity Routines

The incumbent will be expected to lend intellectual and subject-matter expertise, assisting in projects and deliverables that further the objectives of the team as outlined above.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop routines, reporting and analyses to ensure accurate and timely settlement and reconciliation of local trade spend programs, CTM, Monster and other franchise billing process across multiple clients and subledger systems.
  • Collaborate and build strong partnerships with Bottler leadership, NAOU Finance, Brand, MEC leadership to communicate findings and address volume/billing discrepancies in a timely manner. Respond to bottler inquiries and provide supporting documentation as required. Research variances and suggest actionable information.
  • Lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of reporting systems to track and monitor the effectiveness of CMA routines and accountabilities. This role is required to interact and provide leadership to all levels of organization. The role must demonstrate excellent attention to detail coupled with strong project management and effective communication skills.
  • Provide training and education to clients and internal on/off-shore resources on core processes, controls and tools utilized in these processes (e.g., CTM, CPA, VIP, CONA SAP, Bottler processes, payments, accruals, etc).
  • Assume an active role in the development and transformation of new business processes to meet critical BSNA and bottler-led business initiatives including CONA, MARS and RPA. These efforts will require solid communication skills, strong inter-personal skills, and an attention to details.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Timely identification of risks and opportunities; provide recommendations and guidance as needed to mitigate risks and capture opportunities.
  • Conduct ad hoc analysis and reporting for all levels of the organization. Must be able to prioritize requests, provide achievable timelines, and manage internal customer expectations accordingly. The position must provide highest integrity in the data and analysis that is being provided to the business.
  • Identify, research and make recommendations for resolution of data integrity issues.
  • Lead a team of onshore & offshore Analysts tasked with day to day operations including accrual setup and customer payments.
  • Ensure customer agreements are administered in compliance with the respective COA and within Bottler-approved spending parameters.
  • Ensure all financial transactions are recorded and reported in compliance with Company Accounting Policy and GAAP

Key Skills and Abilities

  • Mus t demonstrate 50% Business Knowledge 50% Technical Knowledge, Analytical/Decision Support
  • Demonstrated Advanced Microsoft Excel expertise required (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc.)
  • Demonstrated business acumen with various systems and reporting tools
  • CPG or beverage experience preferred
  • Previous leadership experience
  • MS SQL/SQL, Visual Basic, and Data Warehouse experience preferred
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • A credit check is required for this position in Finance.

Education Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Computer Science, or an Associate's degree and four years of equivalent experience

Years of Experience

  • 3+ years of financial/sales analysis work experience required
  • The ideal candidate would have 3+ years of financial and/or sales analysis experience in a consumer products company.

Required Travel

Travel is not expected in this job; however, employees may be asked to travel for meetings or training on occasion.

Hybrid Work Environment

CCBSS operates a hybrid working environment. This is a teleworking role that requires working at a CCBSS office location on a regular basis (or a minimum number of days per month or week) at the manager’s discretion. The number of days required at a CCBSS office location is at the manager’s discretion and is subject to change depending on business needs.
