Alamos Gold’s Finance team plays a critical role in enabling disciplined capital allocation, strategic decision-making, and long-term growth across operating sites, development projects, and corporate functions. As the Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis, reporting to the Director of Finance, you will lead and support core elements of the Company’s business planning cycle. This includes annual budgeting, short- and long-term forecasting, and life-of-mine modeling. You will work closely with stakeholders across mine sites, development projects, exploration teams, and corporate functions to ensure financial plans align with organizational objectives and support strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

Business Planning & Forecasting: Coordinate, develop, and critically review consolidated annual budgets, rolling forecasts, and long-term life-of-mine financial models.

Strategic Financial Analysis: Build, review, and interpret financial models; conduct scenario analysis; and provide insight to support strategic business decisions and performance optimization.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with mine sites, development projects, exploration teams, and corporate groups to ensure alignment of business plans with departmental and organizational goals.

Capital Allocation & Investment Support: Support capital asset management processes by providing financial input, guidance, and review of business proposals and capital allocation decisions.

Systems & Continuous Improvement: Support the implementation and enhancement of financial systems, tools, and reporting software to improve efficiency, accuracy, and consistency. Develop standard procedures and promote a continuous improvement mindset across FP&A deliverables.

Reporting & Communication: Prepare clear, concise presentations and materials for senior leadership and key internal stakeholders.

Additional Projects: Support other business planning initiatives and special projects as required.

What You Bring to the Table

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial planning, business planning, finance, management consulting, banking, or engineering services.
  • Professional designation such as CFA, CPA, or Professional Engineer is considered an asset.
  • Experience in the mining industry, either directly or through mining-focused banking or engineering services.
  • Strong ability to prepare, critically review, and interpret complex financial models.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with ERP systems and/or business planning software is an asset.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 30%, including visits to mine sites.
