What’s the role?
The Manager, Financial Markets, WIB FCF BCMAdvisory role sits within the Westpac Institutional Bank (WIB) Financial Crime and Fraud team. You will be part of a dynamic, global team providing end-to-end oversight of financial crime risk across AML/CTF, sanctions, fraud and scams, and anti-bribery and corruption.
Acting as the primary 1st Line subject matter expert, you’ll partner with senior leaders to identify, assess, and mitigate FC risks across the bank’s Financial Markets business, including trading, sales, treasury, and capital markets activities. This role ensures that AML, sanctions, anti-bribery and corruption (ABC), and market abuse risks are effectively managed within the first line of defence. It involves assisting in conducting FC risk assessments for financial market activities, including FX, derivatives, commodities, fixed income, and related products.
You’ll work closely with front-office traders, sales teams, product managers, operations, and 2nd line FCC to embed robust risk controls while enabling business to grow in a safe and sustainable manner.
