We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Manager, Financial Accounting, Servco

Purpose of the role

Lead end-to-end financial accounting and control activities for Servco, ensuring accurate month-end close, timely financial and regulatory submissions, and robust balance sheet substantiation. The role is accountable for maintaining a strong control environment (including reconciliations, intercompany break resolution, and Cadency sign-offs), driving process improvements for efficiency and quality, and managing a team to deliver consistent, compliant service. It also involves partnering closely with onshore and in-country stakeholders to resolve issues quickly, enhance reporting, and continuously improve customer experience and operational effectiveness.

In this role, you will:

  • Handle Month close activities independently including month and month TB analysis, financial Reporting - SARACEN and Gather submissions, balance Sheet substantiation – Detailed analysis and timely resolution of open items, cadency – co-ordination with Cadency team, respective account owners and In-country for timely signoff, set up / Management of Servco Finance Control processes with setting up control environment, deployment of submission and reporting processes, performing bank reconciliation
  • Handling Intercompany breaks and coordinating with partner entities to resolve the same. Participate and lead calls with stake holders for effective service delivery. Demonstrate ability to resolve complex issues and provide accounting solutions
  • Lead, motivate and manage a team of finance professionals taking into account attritions, band progression, contingencies and expectations. Initiate and then implement high-impact quality projects leading to operational efficiency and higher productivity. Continuous review of processes with the objective of improving the service delivery timeframes and identify areas of improvement
  • Establish and maintain effective relationship with Business Partners and identify areas of service improvements by implementing regular calls and feedback mechanism. Influence and escalate key customer issues in an effective way to ensure timely resolution
  • Continuous reviews of the customer issues and ensure products and services are tailored on an on-going basis to meet expectation. Liaise with onshore counterparts on report requirement and developing reports within the timelines agreed. Ensure support is provided per requirements from onshore counterparts
  • Ensure integrity and management of data submission. Ability to manage trouble shooting/ secondary reviews and understand queries raised by business partner and determine escalation as necessary
  • Adherence to Group policies, audit, controls, and compliance requirements including but not limited to Declaration of secrecy, data protection act, health, safety and security, clear desk policy
  • To continually assess the operational risks inherent in the processes, taking account of changing operating procedures, staff movements, legal and regulatory requirements, management restructures, and the impact of new technology.
  • Effectively drive and manage change, plan business contingency and achieve cross-training. Ensuring BCP plan is documented, agreed with business partner and tested as per agreed timelines

To be successful you will:

  • BCom /M Com/ CA(Inter)/ CWA (Inter), CA/CWA/MBA. Strong accounting knowledge with prior experience of handling finance control teams
  • Experience of working with captive BPO preferably in Financial Services Industry in Accounting, reporting verticals & financial control
  • Logical, Conceptual & analytical thinking. Experience and exposure in solving complex problems and demonstrated ability to provide accounting and managerial solutions
  • Lead role in identifying the risks associated with finance control process and implementation of corrective controls.
  • Understanding of applications like Fusion, TM1, Hyperion, Oracle Financials, etc.
  • Direct functional Experience in managing more than two functions namely - Monthly Accruals/ Fixed Assets Accounting/ Bank Reconciliation Statement preparation/ General Ledger maintenance including monthly closing activities/ Regulatory Reporting etc.
  • Good communication and ability to interact with multiple employee levels/business partners, etc.
  • Should have demonstrated the ability of driving results
