Position Title: Manager, Finance Systems

Department: Finance

Reports to: SVP, Finance Transformation and Operations

Location: Hybrid

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM ET

Salary Range: $80,000 - $131,000

Position Overview:

The Manager of Finance Systems is responsible for mission critical financial technology systems implementation and maintenance related to budget, accounting, enhancement projects and strategic initiatives. This role works closely with the rest of Finance senior leadership, to collect requirements to configure and maintain finance technology systems, lead the development and documentation of internal finance processes and procedures that include the use of finance technology systems, and create ongoing maintenance standard operating procedures to support the organization's strategic goals. Required certification: The SnowPro Associate: Platform Certification

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Configure and maintain Sage ERP/Accounting System, Jira ticketing System, low-code expense management software (Tipalti and Bill) and Finance Wiki, including creating data entry forms, approval workflows, designing and delivering end-user training and escalating level 4 issues to corporate software support to resolve end-user issues in a timely fashion
  • Develop and maintain Jira SOP process that goes into details about how to run the project, how to assign and update status of tickets, how to move tickets to IAM and other Jira queues
  • Develop dashboards and other tools to manage and balance workload across the systems team. This responsibility is mission critical for the entire Finance Systems Team to work efficiently and effectively in a remote/hybrid environment
  • Work cross-functionally to build a database to be a source of truth for all Charts of Accounts for programming import files enabling all systems to be updated easily and accurately
  • Create and update annual COA finance system update processes/schedule and documentation so that all appropriate finance systems using the COA are updated on time with COA changes
  • Create and maintain the finance systems data flow diagram and data mappings so that we have a complete understanding of what is shared between systems, which department is responsible for updating each system, and when finance needs to give updates to the other departments that maintain the other systems.
  • Configure APIs between Sage and other finance information systems
  • Work cross-functionally to analyze and improve solutions that deliver best in class support
  • Manage business process transformation initiatives to improve efficiencies around critical finance activities
  • Design and document finance system & finance workflow procedures to ensure adherence to best practices, standards, and control measures
  • Partner with IT and procurement in evaluating and selecting the most cost-effective and user-friendly systems for supporting the updated finance and operations business processes across Vibrant
  • Supervise and coach a small system support team. Demonstrate accountability, set clear expectations, follow through on commitments, address issues directly, model the integrity and responsibility they expect from others to create a culture where people understand their roles, take ownership of results, and learn from successes and setbacks
  • Assist with strategic planning for the Finance Systems and Operations Team: analyze trends, define needs and priorities, identify implications, allocate resources effectively, and translate strategy into actionable plans
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Visio
  • Mastery of relational database architecture, SaaS and cloud-hosted software implementation, and project management tools such as Jira, Asana.
  • Familiarity with business intelligence and database tools, including platforms such as Tableau and Power BI
  • Experience using ticketing tools, such Jira
  • Experience with low-code software platforms
  • Experience with Sage or another EPR system a plus
  • Ability to work well within a matrixed team environment
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills and attention to detail
  • Strong problem-solving skills, proactive and customer focused
  • Proven ability to learn quickly, work independently, and adapt to change in a fast-paced environment
  • A can-do approach to work with the ability to meet deadlines and work well under pressure
  • Communicate collaboratively with stakeholders across all levels of seniority including program directors and senior leadership

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer information systems and related experience in the field
  • 3+ years of experience
  • 3+ years of experience in Technology Help Desk and Software Development
  • 3+ years of experience in the non-profit sector, government, or start up
  • 3+ years of Lean Agile or other business process transformation experience
  • The SnowPro Associate: Platform Certification

We determine base pay through a comprehensive review of skills, experience, education, certifications, geographic location, and other relevant factors. The range listed reflects the compensation parameters for the role and does not represent the full compensation package.
