Base salary will be in the range $120,317 - $134,892 + 17% super (HEW Level 8)
Based at our St Lucia Campus
We are seeking a Manager, Finance Partnering to work alongside senior leaders, providing expert financial advice, insights, and analysis that support informed decision-making and organisational success. Reporting to the Associate Director, Finance Partnering, you will play a key role in financial planning, forecasting, and performance monitoring, while building trusted relationships across the University and helping deliver strategic and operational outcomes across your client portfolio.
Key responsibilities will include:
Managing the development and delivery of financial strategies, annual budgets, and service plans that support client business objectives and operational priorities.
Providing proactive financial analysis, reporting, and strategic advice to senior stakeholders, identifying opportunities to improve performance and financial outcomes.
Leading budget management activities, including expenditure monitoring, variance analysis, forecasting, and the implementation of effective financial controls.
Building trusted partnerships with executive leaders and acting as an expert financial advisor to support strategic decision-making and business performance.
Driving continuous improvement initiatives while ensuring compliance with financial governance requirements, policy controls, and risk management frameworks.
Postgraduate qualifications in accounting, business, commerce or a related field, or an equivalent combination of relevant training and professional experience.
Membership of a professional institution such as CPA, CA or equivalent.
Demonstrated financial leadership and strategic partnering experience within a large, complex organisation.
Proven ability to deliver evidence-based financial advice that influences executive and institutional decision-making.
Demonstrated ability to interpret and apply financial governance, compliance, policy, and risk management frameworks.
Proven capability to partner effectively with senior stakeholders, influence decision-making, and build trusted professional relationships.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate financial information into practical business insights and recommendations.
Experience supporting strategic planning, business case development, budgeting processes, and performance improvement initiatives.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex financial information clearly and confidently to diverse audiences.
