JOB SUMMARY

This role reports to the Regional Vice President and works under the guidance of the Senior Director of Finance and Senior Director of HR.

This position supports business insights, reporting and analytical work across both Finance and Human Resources within the Marriott International South, HMT Regional Office.

The Manager, Finance & HR Business Support, will work closely with Finance and HR leaders and teams to prepare meaningful analysis, identify trends, and provide insights and recommendations that support business decisions, resource planning, workforce planning and operational effectiveness. The position is expected to apply sound financial knowledge, business judgment and analytical capability to ensure timely and accurate information and reporting are provided to internal stakeholders, oversee information consolidation and maintenance, and support report administration, tools and process improvement initiatives for both functions.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

Education and Experience

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Business Analytics, Information Management or related field, with concentration in Finance preferred.
  • 3+ years of relevant experience in financial analysis, business reporting, performance analysis or related analytical support roles.
  • Solid knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
  • Understanding of Marriott or Lodging/ hospitality industry management and franchisee contracts, or similar capacity

Preferred

  • Lodging/ hospitality industry experience preferred but not a must.
  • Excellent PC skills, advanced knowledge and proficient in Microsoft Office M365 applications, specifically Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, Microsoft Power Apps including MS Forms, MS SharePoint, TEAMS, CoPilot, or similar capacity.
  • Must have experience in preparing reports and using visualization tools such as Tableau and Power BI.
  • Proficiency in accounting, HR software and back-office systems such as Peoplesoft, Sun System, HRMS and ERP systems such as Birchstreet, SAP or Oracle preferred; experience working with large volumes of financial or business information is preferred. will be an advantage.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and change

CORE WORK ACTIVITIES

  • Support Finance and HR leaders in analyzing financial, workforce and business performance for the designated region, conducting analysis on various projects, and proactively highlighting trends, business implications and potential risks to support timely decision-making.
  • Prepare and review consolidated Finance and HR reports, including operating results, P&L results, forecasts, workforce-related reports and other management summaries. Analyze trends, identify and track potential risks and opportunities, and communicate findings and recommendations appropriately.
  • Participate in and support Finance and HR strategic projects, including Long Range Planning, Business Plan, organization planning and workforce-related initiatives, by coordinating inputs, preparing analysis and contributing recommendations where appropriate.
  • Manage ad-hoc reporting and analytical requirements for both Finance and HR, including financial performance, workforce, labor cost, organizational and other business analysis, by leveraging existing and new reporting or visualization platforms such as Tableau and Power BI.
  • Proactively explore internal and external tools, services, resources and platforms to drive efficiency in operating procedures, improve reporting quality and create broader benefits for both Finance and HR across the company.
  • Uses financial data, data trends and market information to accurately assess performance, identify risks and deliver quality solutions to critical business issues.
  • Where applicable, ensure knowledge and understanding of any new programs, services and initiatives impacting the Area.
  • Performs other duties as assigned to meet business needs.
