Job Description

JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting, budgeting, and strategic planning to support effective decision-making and organisational objectives
  • Monitor and review finance department performance to ensure achievement of strategic goals and overall business plans
  • Facilitate internal and external audits while ensuring compliance with tax and regulatory requirements
  • Develop and manage the finance team through regular feedback, training, and performance improvement initiatives
  • Ensure adherence to credit policies through effective monitoring of debt collections and customer credit facilities to improve cash flow and minimise financial risks
  • Manage treasury operations, including timely collections, liability settlements, and working capital improvement initiatives
  • Negotiate favourable arrangements with banks, financial institutions, and service providers to improve financial efficiency and reduce costs
  • Ensure the safety of company assets through adequate insurance coverage, risk controls, and contingency planning
  • Represent the company at finance and related forums by providing expert financial insight to support business decisions and safeguard company interests
  • Develop and strengthen systems, procedures, internal controls, and continuous improvement initiatives to ensure operational integrity and achievement of quality objectives

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE/ EXPERIENCE / TRAINING / QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED FOR POSITION

  • Fully qualified in CA/CIMA/ACCA or equivalent, with a Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline

  • Strong knowledge of IFRS, IAS, and financial reporting standards

  • Expertise in corporate finance, financial planning, treasury, and risk management

  • Strong knowledge of taxation, compliance, and financial governance

  • Experience in budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and performance management

  • Experience with ERP systems and strong Microsoft Office proficiency

  • Familiarity with cross-border financial management, foreign exchange exposure, and group consolidation reporting

  • Strong analytical, leadership, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to support strategic decision-making at Board level
