Position Summary:
Vallen's FP&A Manager is an individual contributor responsible for performing financial budgeting, forecasting/planning, reporting and analysis to support impactful decisions of the leadership teams. They fulfil a key role in creating financial models to help improve the company's financial performance, accelerate its growth, and drive decision making processes.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Monitor, analyze and report actual performance against budget/forecast/PY.
- Develop and prepare thoughtful matrices and reports for operations and regions.
- Prepare monthly reporting packages.
- Provide pro-active support to business leaders following distribution of monthly results.
- Assist business leaders in deep dive review of operational areas.
- Develop and direct profitable growth-driven reporting through advanced analytics.
- Assist business leadership in developing 3-5-year strategy to deliver EBIT performance.
- Develop analytics to drive gross margin improvement through customer, vendor, and product insights
- Assist leadership in developing financial forecasting and impact assessment when developing structure strategies for the business.
- Prepare capex/business cases; control business cases and prepare post investment review.
- Facilitate budgeting and forecasting process on a total company level.
- Lead special project analysis as required.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Job Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting coupled with 7-10 years of financial analysis experience.
Other relevant experience includes:
- MBA, CMA preferred
- Experience with distribution companies and/or manufacturing preferred.
- Demonstration of strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Executive presence to interact with all levels within the organization
- Strong planning, organizational and execution skills
- Excellent MS-Excel and PowerPoint
