The Japan LFO Investment Optimization (I/O) Team plays a critical role in ensuring that marketing and growth investments are deployed efficiently, strategically, and with measurable financial impact. We partner closely with Marketing, Other Finance teams, and Senior Leadership to optimize multi-billion-dollar investment portfolios, improve decision frameworks, and drive sustainable profitable growth through data-driven insights and rigorous financial governance.

This Manager role plays a key role in shaping investment strategy by translating complex data into clear, decision-ready insights. By tracking and leveraging customer behavior through LUMI data and Power BI–based financial analysis, you will develop compelling, data-driven storytelling that influences senior leadership decisions. The role also drives the development of scalable, automated, and self-service data solutions to enhance the end-to-end investment management process.

  • Partner with Marketing and multiple Finance teams to support the monthly I/O process.

  • Analyze and advise on underlying I/O data, delivering clear financial insights and performance results to senior leadership.

  • Provide financial support to the Lending business, including tracking key metrics and performing monthly financial analysis.

  • Support co-brand partnerships by proactively collaborating with Product, Marketing, and Central Finance teams.

  • Build close partnerships with business stakeholders to rapidly understand emerging trends, issues, and drivers, enabling timely and informed financial analysis and decision support.

  • Lead advanced analytics to evaluate performance drivers and identify root causes by leveraging LUMI to extract, transform, and analyze large datasets.

  • Translate complex analyses into compelling, structured narratives tailored to senior leadership audiences.

  • Design and maintain Power BI dashboards to monitor and communicate investment performance.

  • Support GenAI initiatives across Finance and Business by developing use cases that drive efficiency, deepen analytical insights, and enable process automation.

  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders in both English and Japanese.

  • Excellent presentation skills, with confidence engaging and influencing senior stakeholders.

  • Ability to build strong relationships and manage stakeholders across business and finance functions.

  • Proven ability to influence without direct authority, including demonstrated success in influencing senior management.

  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Power BI.

  • Working knowledge of SQL and Python.

  • 3–5 years of relevant analytical experience in Finance, Strategy, or related fields.

  • Strong intellectual curiosity, with the ability to identify meaningful insights beyond surface-level trends.

  • Self-motivated and proactive, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Collaborative team player with a growth mindset.
