The Facilities Manager will be responsible provide support to all BioScript Business Units in Real Estate, facilities and related project management. The Facilities Manager will oversee the review, maintenance, and repair functions of all BioScript facilities to ensure optimal operating environments and welcoming high-quality spaces for patients and Team Members.

Your Mission:

Real Estate Related Tasks and Responsibilities

Under the supervision of the Manager, Real Estate & Facilities, the Facilities Manager will have the following responsibilities and tasks in relation to facilities new builds, renovations and expansion projects:

  • Reviewing proposed locations to determine suitability.
  • Collaborating with the Operations teams to create layout of new spaces.
  • Working with engineers and architects to create flooring plans.
  • Working with General Contractors (“GC”) to provide cost estimates for facilities renovations, new builds and expansions.
  • Managing General Contractors work and projects to ensure required permits are obtained and construction is on budget, time and scope.
  • Managing trades scheduling to ensure renovations and new builds remain on time and on cost.
  • Collaborating with IT, Senior Management, Operations and local management teams to schedule move-in logistics.
  • Performing minor renovations work.

Facilities Related Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Coordinating and overseeing on-demand, and preventative work assignments performed by technicians, vendors and contractors performing building maintenance, property management and repair work.
  • Organizing, directing and overseeing contractual relationship with administrative services such as signage, cleaning, janitorial, garbage removal, parking, safety inspections and security (including alarm companies).
  • Managing Parking requirements and management systems for all facilities.
  • Supporting the Manager, Real Estate & Facilities and Operations Managing and tracking facilities assets inventories (fridges, freezers, etc.).
  • Maintaining the emergency contacts database.
  • Overseeing office furniture procurement.
  • Monitoring utility usage in facilities.
  • Tracking annual permits & licensing.
  • Managing and tracking maintenance requests, including receiving and actioning all facility related maintenance requests.
  • Overseeing emergency facilities response including providing quick action to resolve unexpected facility events (e.g. Flood, fire, break-ins).
  • Ensure health and safety policies are complied with.

Leadership Responsibilities:

  • Provides clear direction, sets measurable goals, and holds team members accountable for performance and results.
  • Coaches, develops, and supports team members through regular feedback, performance reviews, and career development planning.
  • Fosters a high-performing, inclusive team culture that aligns with company values and business objectives.

What You Bring to the Table:

Education:

  • Certificate or similar education in Facilities Management is an asset.

Experience:

  • Previous experience in Facilities Management is required.

Skills

  • Project management experience is an asset.
  • Strong communication and influencing skills, in person and in writing.
  • Strong decision-making skills.
  • Ability to lead and manage teams on projects.
  • Strong organization and time management skills.
  • English proficiency is required for this position to effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Bilingualism (French and English) may be required depending on the specific role, location, and the needs of the organization.

Compensation: At BioScript, your base pay is one part of your total compensation package and is determined within a range. Our pay ranges are based on the local cost of labor benchmarks for each specific role, level, and geographic location.
