Shift: Full-Time; Monday – Friday; 8am-5pm EST

Discover Impactful Work:
As a Sr Research Scientist or Research Scientist, you will oversee complex analytical development and/or specialty technologies projects to create new analytical methods, enhance existing methods, and transfer client-provided methods using multiple instrumentation techniques (HPLC, GC, UPLC, ICP-MS, LC/MS, GC/MS etc.) and multiple detection techniques (UV, FL, CAD, ELSD, IC etc.). Provide technical and regulatory consulting to internal groups and clients about their programs. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to senior staff members in performing laboratory activities. Routinely act as the technical project leader for multiple projects, interacts with clients to provide technical project updates, reviews and evaluates data, writes reports and protocols.

Oversees facilities operations of a site including site services, building or equipment maintenance, space

planning, and/or engineering projects. Implements policies, standards, services and programs, ensuring a high level of service, quality, timeliness and cost-effectiveness.

  • Coordinates facility construction and/or remodeling and oversees the placement
  • and administration of all outside contracts for space planning, architectural,
  • engineering, and construction services when assigned.
  • Assists in the coordination, scheduling, budgeting and completion of long-range
  • facility planning, real estate acquisition, and disposal.
  • Generates purchase requisitions for furniture purchases and other capital
  • expenditures.
  • Maintains monthly and yearly records of expenditures.
  • Prepares funding requests for facility projects and maintains project budgets,
  • cost records, status, and schedules.
  • Directs space allocation, space standards and usage. Ensures operating groups
  • are provided with required space.
  • Generates monthly forecasts of "Capital Needs" expenditures.
  • Prepares periodic manpower forecasts and space projections.
  • Recruits, trains and develops employees

Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

Previous experience provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job (comparable to

5+ years).

1+ year of leadership responsibility

In some cases an equivalency, consisting of a combination of appropriate education, training

and/or directly related experience, will be considered sufficient for an individual to meet the

requirements of the role

  • Knowledge of cost accounting, project cost management and budgeting
  • Strong computer skills, including use of CAD/CAFM
  • Excellent project management skills
  • General understanding of construction process and code requirements
  • Strong knowledge of furniture design and space planning techniques
  • Understanding of UCC and Bid/Contract Procedures
  • Understanding of Leases and Lease terms
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

Management Role:

Manages experienced professionals and / or subordinate management who exercise latitude and

independence in their assignments. Often heads one or more sections or a small department
