What to expect:

Responsible for managing all aspects of the facilities operations, maintenance, repair and modification of the physical plant(s) ensuring continued compliance with environmental parameters, FDA regulations and quality standards.

  • Supervise and provide leadership to contractors and internal stakeholders to support facility operations.
  • Oversee contracted facility services, including housekeeping, pest control, HVAC maintenance, landscaping, and more.
  • Lead or participate in site-related projects, including project management, budget oversight, and scope of work development.
  • Provide routine on-call and emergency response services as required.
  • Manage building maintenance services through preventive maintenance (PM) and work order (WO) programs, maintaining accurate records.
  • Perform general facility repair tasks (e.g., drywall, painting, furniture modifications, lamp replacement, plumbing repairs).
  • Monitor and maintain the facilities budget, ensuring work remains within projected guidelines.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, SOPs, PPE requirements, Quality System Regulations, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
  • Support Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) initiatives, including weekly/monthly maintenance tasks.
  • Participate in required procedures for fire alarm shutdowns, hot work permits, and sprinkler valve checklists.
  • Participate in the after-hours on-call program as needed.

What we expect:

The incumbent may be asked to perform other function-related activities in addition to the below mentioned responsibilities as reasonably required by business needs.

  • Responsible for managing the planning, construction, and maintenance of equipment, machinery, buildings and other facilities related activities.
  • Project Management responsibilities for special projects as required, including support to other Hologic facilities.
  • Create and maintain a business partnership with key stakeholders to provide the most value from the facilities management team.
  • Proactive planning for facility emergencies including the corporate BCP plan.
  • Management of facility projects from initial concept to complete execution.
  • Plans, budgets, and schedules facility modifications including estimates on equipment, labor, materials and other associated costs.
  • Manage and oversee the coordination of building space allocations and layout options for facility expansion and optimal space usage.
  • Ensure that safety requirements are met by proactively supporting an atmosphere of safety and ensuring that all facility employee training requirements have been met and safe practices are upheld.
  • Manage facility planning for capital and leasehold improvements.
  • Oversee the Facility Service documentation and training process for the FDA and ISO regulatory requirements, including support for audits from regulatory bodies.
  • Act as point of contact for facilities construction and modifications.
  • Set up, document, and implement all facilities contracts and vendor agreements.
  • Prepare and manage annual facilities budget for management review and approval.
  • Process all facilities related requests in a timely manner with appropriate approvals.
  • Direct management of a facilities staff and facility related vendors.
  • Maintain facilities security systems, pass codes, keys and badges.
  • Establish support and contacts for emergencies and after hour support.
  • Other duties as assigned including physical labor when needed.

Education & Experience

  • AA degree or equivalent required, BA preferred

Experience

  • 8-10 years of experience in the facilities field with management experience

Skills

  • MS Word, Excel, Outlook, CAD
  • Working knowledge of building codes and regulations.
  • Familiar with building trade groups and work rules.
  • Exercises good judgment w disaster planning and facility related emergencies.
  • Communicates well with employees, peers, stakeholders, and leadership.

The annualized base salary range for this salaried role is $98,400-$164,000 fand is bonus eligible. Final compensation packages will ultimately depend on factors including relevant experience, skillset, knowledge, geography, education, business needs and market demand.
