Job Description

Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:

A key player in Product Development & Sourcing (PD&S) in driving PD&S’s vision to be the Most Agile, Most Competitive, Most Innovative & Most Sustainable PD&S in the industry.

Eenabling the Ssustainable supply chain to produce sustainable product through comprehensive sustainability management.

Overseeing external disclosure and reporting on environmental related matters. Ensure all disclosures are accurate, regulatory-compliant, and aligned with industry frameworks (CSRDDD, CDP etc). Translate complex data into clear reports for stakeholders and drives ongoing improvement in sustainability reporting to uphold the company’s leadership and reputation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the preparation and delivery of external environmental disclosures, including annual sustainability reports, external reporting (e.g. Brand to Zero, CDP), and regulatory filings.
  • Ensure alignment with key reporting frameworks and Sustainability Standards where applicable.
  • Serve as a key point of contact for ESG related reporting stakeholder inquiries.
  • Coordinate cross-functional inputs from Sourcing, Sustainability, Legal, Communications to ensure completeness and accuracy of disclosures.
  • Develop clear, consistent, and narratives translating environmental performance into meaningful insights.
  • Ensure all environmental disclosures meet legal, regulatory, and corporate governance requirements.
  • Establish and maintain strong internal controls and documentation processes for auditability and assurance readiness. Identify gaps and enhance reporting or validation processes if needed.
  • Align reporting with corporate strategy and brand positioning, including benchmark performance vs. industry and best practices to improve ESG positioning.
  • Support forward-looking disclosures, targets, transition plans, risk and opportunity narratives.
  • Develop communication materials that ensure consistency of sustainability messaging across external platforms.
  • Ensure all sourcing operations and practices fully comply with adidas’ Responsible Sourcing & Purchasing Policy, adidas standards and legal requirements, while managing the relevant processes internally and externally.
  • Role model leadership that fosters Diversity, Equity & Inclusion and cross-functional collaboration.

Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:

  • University degree in Environmental Engineering, Management, Science or related disciplines
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in environment and sustainability, data reporting, within the supply chain and/or sustainability sector
  • Experience in ESG related reporting and external disclosure
