Job Description

In this role, you'll:

Lead Sydney Metro’s external budgeting and forecasting functions, overseeing forward estimates, State Budget submissions, Half‑Year Review and year‑end requirements while ensuring all deliverables are strategically aligned, risk‑informed and compliant with NSW Treasury frameworks.


You will manage enterprise‑wide budgeting and forecasting within PRIME / Hyperion, ensuring accurate actuals, projections and adjustments, and embed disciplined, driver‑based and risk‑adjusted methodologies to strengthen scenario modelling and long‑range financial planning.


You will deliver high‑quality external financial reporting with clear insights on trends, variances and risks, maintain robust financial governance and data integrity across PRIME, SAP and related systems, and provide strategic financial advice by translating complex data into actionable recommendations.

About you

Your expertise in enterprise level financial accounting, analysis, planning and risk management formed across large, complex organisations, government environments, infrastructure delivery, or corporate finance roles will see you navigating competing deadlines, ensuring accuracy and compliance, and embedding robust financial processes that support organisational sustainability.


You’re recognised as a trusted financial advisor, skilled in interpreting complex financial data, identifying risks and opportunities, and delivering strategic insights to senior leaders, with experience in PRIME and Hyperion Financial Management, and the ability to manage complex external budget submissions, forward estimates, technical adjustments, high-integrity financial data, external reporting and compliance with Treasury and audit requirements.


You also hold full membership of a recognised professional accounting body and possess relevant tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Commerce or a related discipline.
