Job Posting Details

The School of Medicine is seeking a high-calibre individual who excels in a dynamic, fast-paced, and multi-tasking environment to support undergraduate student examination and assessment as a Manager (Examination & Assessment). The appointee will be responsible for the overall management of the MBBS examination and assessment processes of the School of Medicine, ensuring academic integrity, operational efficiency, and compliance with university and local regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning, coordination, and administration of examinations and assessments for MBBS program, ensuring compliance with university policy and academic standards, and local regulatory requirements
  • Work closely with course leads/coordinators, examiners, invigilators, and relevant administrative units to manage assessment schedules, examination logistics, results processing, and grade submission timelines
  • Oversee the preparation and secure handling of examination materials, including venue arrangements, invigilation support, and procedures for maintaining examination integrity and confidentiality
  • Monitor and implement examination and assessment policies, procedures, and academic integrity requirements, and provide guidance to staff on related rules and practices
  • Handle post-examination processes such as grade collation, result checking, appeals-related administration, and coordination of academic integrity or irregularity cases as needed
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the smooth delivery of examinations and assessments, while maintaining accurate records and timely communications
  • Supervise and mentor junior staff where appropriate, foster a collaborative and innovative work environment in pursuit of achieving the University’s goals
  • Perform any other duties as assigned

Entry Requirements

  • A recognized Bachelor’s degree
  • A minimum of 5 years’ of relevant post-qualification work experience in education administration, assessment, or a related field within a sizeable organization or tertiary institution within the education sector. Ideal applicants should have good knowledge and experience of examination administration, academic integrity practices, grade processing, and assessment-related procedures in a tertiary education environment, and preferably in medicine or a healthcare-related discipline
  • Strong team player with a proactive attitude and a sense of ownership and accountability
  • Excellent problem-solving, interpersonal, communication, and analytical skills are essential
  • A high level of attention to detail, the ability to multitask, work independently and collaborate effectively, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines are required
  • Proficiency in both written and spoken English and Chinese, including Cantonese and Putonghua, is necessary
  • Relevant computer application and IT skills are expected

Work outside normal office hours, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays, may occasionally be required.

Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits including annual leave, medical and dental benefits will be provided. A gratuity will be payable upon successful completion of a 2-year contract. Renewable subject to good performance and mutual agreement.
