How you’ll make an impact

Leverage your leadership experience, expertise in ethics programs and knowledge of federal regulatory requirements to lead FCC’s ethics program and promote high standards of ethical conduct throughout the organization.

As Manager, Ethics Program, you’ll guide program strategy, learning and communication activities, compliance mechanisms and the disclosure process established under the Public Servants Disclosure Protection Act. Your professional judgment and ability to establish trusted relationships will help embed ethical practices into FCC’s business processes and decision-making.

What you’ll do

• Lead the implementation of FCC’s ethics program, including strategies, procedures, action plans and related day-to-day activitie
• Assess program maturity, introduce appropriate compliance controls and recommend metrics to gauge program effectiveness
• Oversee learning, communication and training initiatives for managers and designated teams
• Support the disclosure process under the Public Servants Disclosure Protection Act and conduct high-quality internal investigations that comply with legal and professional requirements
• Prepare and distribute reports for senior management, the Board of Directors and the federal government, while providing confidential advice on ethical obligations
• Build strong relationships with internal leaders and federal partners and lead the ethics team through resource planning, priority setting, mentoring and staff development

What you’ll bring to the team

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in social sciences, public administration or law and at least five years of relevant experience (or an equivalent combination of education and experience)
• Extensive knowledge of requirements and standards applicable to the federal Crown environment and relevant federal legislation
• Proven ability to establish and maintain influential and effective relationships with managers and key stakeholders
• Excellent written and oral communication skills, including the ability to provide clear and confidential advice
• Ability to build and lead successful teams through effective leadership and management practices
• Ability to manage multiple priorities at the same time, advance projects and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment
• Proficiency in both official languages (English and French) and proven ability in oral and written communication

• Knowledge of internal investigative practices
