We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented individual to join Group Finance, Affin Bank in the role of Manager – ERP Finance and Cost Analytics. This role is responsible for delivering end-to-end cost reporting, cost accounting, and analytics to support financial control, cost transparency, and data-driven decision-making across the Group.

Job Responsibilities

Monthly Cost Reporting and Analysis

  • Lead end-to-end monthly cost reporting, ensuring completeness, accuracy, and timeliness of OPEX reporting.
  • Perform variance analysis (actual vs budget/forecast), identify key drivers, and highlight notable movements.
  • Monitor cost trends across divisions and provide regular updates on performance against targets.
  • Maintain consistency, integrity, and quality of cost data across reporting outputs and dashboards.

Cost Accounting and Financial Controls

  • Manage cost accounting activities including accruals, provisions, prepayments, reallocations, and adjustments.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal policies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain robust audit trails, support schedules, and reconciliations to ensure audit readiness.
  • Validate and ensure the integrity of cost data within ERP systems and reporting outputs.

Cost Analytics and Business Insights

  • Analyze cost drivers and identify trends, inefficiencies, and optimization opportunities.
  • Support cost optimization initiatives through analysis, tracking, and reporting of outcomes.
  • Develop and maintain cost dashboards and structured reporting packs.
  • Translate data into actionable insights to support business and Finance stakeholders.

Stakeholder Engagement and Business Support

  • Work closely with Finance, Procurement, and business units on cost queries, reporting, and analysis.
  • Provide advisory support on cost allocations, reporting interpretation, and financial implications.
  • Support cross-functional initiatives with financial analysis and reporting inputs.

Management Reporting and Communication

  • Prepare monthly cost packs, reports, and supporting materials to communicate cost performance and key insights.
  • Translate analysis into structured outputs to support stakeholder understanding and discussions.
  • Present cost performance and key findings to Finance and business stakeholders where required.

Leadership and Collaboration

  • Support and guide junior team members in cost reporting and analysis activities.
  • Maintain disciplined execution standards and adherence to timelines.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within cost management and reporting processes.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum 6–8 years of relevant experience in financial reporting, cost accounting, or analytics.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles (accruals, provisions, prepayments).
  • Hands-on experience with ERP systems (preferably Oracle) and strong PowerPoint/ Excel / analytical skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Good communication skills with ability to present analysis in a structured manner.
