Key Position Details:

  • FTE 1.0 (80 hours per two week pay period)
  • 8-hour day
  • No weekends
  • Candidates with demonstrated leadership experience in Environmental Services (EVS) within large healthcare facilities (500+ beds), with a proven track record of successful outcomes and/or formal industry training is strongly preferred.

Manages the operational duties of the environmental and linen services, and medical equipment. Maintains budgets, quality standards, and positive customer relationships. Collaborates with nursing, quality and safety, facilities. Supports areas up to 1.7 million square feet, over 400 beds, and will support multi-sites.

Principle Responsibilities

  • Manages relationships with internal and external stakeholders Evaluates new supplies and equipment.
  • Collaborates with service employee’s international union (SEIU) union representatives in promoting a safe and effective work environment.
  • Monitors key performance improvement activities (e.g., goals, key indicators, data collection, and effectiveness of process change).
  • Formulates, communicates and analyzes budget, to include capital requests and expenses.
  • Develops a comprehensive waste management program to include, but not limited to, goals, operation requirements, reporting procedures, manifests and documentation for all forms of waste.
  • Ensures compliance with federal regulations, standards and professional standards related to work space design, labor, transport, and maintenance and operations of environmental services.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Management or equivalent
  • 5+ leadership experience in environmental (Three years must include supervisory or management experience in healthcare operations)

Pay Range

Pay Range: $38.52 to $52.80 per hourThe pay described reflects the base hiring pay range. Your starting rate would depend on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, your experience and education. Additional incentives may be available, including discretionary monetary bonuses, goal-based bonuses, and other financial incentives.
