Manager, Environmental Markets Product Control

Product Control sits at the centre of Global Markets, providing independent P&L reporting and maintaining a strong control environment across trading activities. The Commodities team works closely with Front Office, Risk and Technology to support trading across a diverse range of energy, metals and agricultural products.

Your impact

As Manager, you will:

  • Perform and oversee daily P&L production, ensuring accuracy, completeness and transparency
  • Provide clarity on P&L drivers, market movements and trading activities
  • Maintain and strengthen the control framework across reporting, systems and processes
  • Perform and oversee key reconciliations between Front Office and finance systems
  • Partner with Trading, Risk and Technology to support business initiatives and trading activity
  • Identify, investigate and proactively resolve issues or anomalies
  • Drive automation, efficiency and continuous improvement across reporting processes
  • Lead, coach and develop a high-performing team
  • Influence senior stakeholders through clear, commercially focused insights

We’re looking for people who have

  • Experience in Product Control or Financial Control within Commodities or traded markets environments
  • Strong accounting foundation with an understanding of financial reporting frameworks
  • Experience leading or mentoring team members in a fast-paced environment
  • Exposure to trading systems and processes (e.g. Murex, Endur or similar)
  • Strong analytical capability, with experience in tools such as Tableau, SQL, VBA, Power BI or Alteryx
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
  • Commercial acumen with the ability to influence stakeholders
  • Tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline
  • Professional qualification (CA, CPA, CFA or equivalent)
