& Summary

At PwC, our people in infrastructure focus on designing and implementing robust, secure IT systems that support business operations. They enable the smooth functioning of networks, servers, and data centres to optimise performance and minimise downtime.

In infrastructure engineering at PwC, you will focus on designing and implementing robust and scalable technology infrastructure solutions for clients. Your work will involve network architecture, server management, and cloud computing experience.

As part of the Enterprise Architecture team at PwC Switzerland, this role contributes to shaping and evolving the firm’s enterprise-wide architecture across business, data, application, integration, technology and security domains. The team connects strategy with execution by translating architectural direction into clear standards, reference architectures, patterns and roadmaps that delivery teams can apply in practice.

Close collaboration with product and delivery teams, as well as with digital compliance and information security stakeholders, is a core part of the role. The position also works with PwC stakeholders beyond Switzerland to ensure alignment with global strategies and standards while addressing local regulatory and business requirements.

Your impact

• Contribute to the definition and evolution of the future-state enterprise architecture, translating business strategy and operating model needs into principles, standards and reference architectures
• Maintain and evolve transparency of the IT landscape across applications, platforms, integrations and key data flows, including inventories, capability maps and dependency views
• Ensure the IT landscape is accurately captured and usable in enterprise architecture repositories and tools, applying data quality practices and creating stakeholder-friendly views
• Support architecture governance and compliance by helping teams align designs with agreed standards and guardrails, and by documenting exceptions and trade-offs clearly
• Act as a trusted advisor to delivery teams and stakeholders, ensuring non-functional requirements such as security, resilience, performance, maintainability and cost are addressed early and consistently
• Translate architectural direction into consumable assets, including minimum viable patterns, reusable building blocks, templates and reference implementations, to accelerate delivery and reduce rework
• Evaluate technologies and standards, recommend fit-for-purpose solutions, and support standard configurations to improve resilience, scalability and cost-effectiveness
• Provide hands-on architecture expertise across the Azure and Microsoft ecosystem, including identity, landing zones, integration patterns and security-by-design
• Collaborate effectively in a global, multi-stakeholder environment, aligning local architecture decisions with PwC global platforms, reference architectures and policies

Your skill set

• Experience in enterprise architecture and/or solution or domain architecture, with the ability to connect strategy, governance and delivery
• Strong capability to lead architecture discussions, influence stakeholders and drive alignment across teams without direct authority
• Practical experience with enterprise architecture repositories and tools such as Ardoq or comparable solutions
• Solid modelling skills, for example using ArchiMate, and the ability to create clear, decision-ready architecture diagrams
• Strong knowledge and proven experience with Azure and the Microsoft technology stack, ideally supported by advanced-level certifications such as Azure Solution Architect
• Hands-on experience in technical areas including cloud, infrastructure, networking, identity, APIs and integration, and security patterns
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to structure complex topics and communicate them clearly
• A university degree in business informatics, computer science or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
• Excellent communication skills with proficiency in English; German proficiency is an advantage
