Job Description

This position is responsible for managing the activities of the technical functions supporting Interventional Urology Operations. This includes leading and managing the Manufacturing Engineering, Controls Engineering, and Maintenance functions.

Major Areas of Accountability

  • Technical Leadership: Lead and manage engineering and maintenance support team whom are responsible for various production equipment and processes.
  • Operational Excellence: Ensure the provision of continuous support for all manufacturing processes, emphasizing cost-effective manufacturing and material supply continuity.
  • Team Development: Provide leadership, coaching, and development for engineering and maintenance personnel.
  • Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives in operations, focusing on equipment, processes, and materials validation.
  • Capacity and Demand Management: Ensure process and machine capacity are effectively aligned with current and future demands.
  • Cost Optimization: Lead initiatives to drive cost improvement, systematicallyreviewingproduct and operating costs toidentifyand implement cost reduction programs.
  • Cross-Functional Coordination:Facilitatecollaboration across departments to align engineering activities with new product development, process improvement, and quality assurance.
  • Budget Management: Manage departmental costs in alignment with budget guidelines, ensuring financial discipline.
  • Capital Investment Planning: Research and present strategic capital equipment proposals, aligned with budgetary and strategic priorities.
  • Regulatory and Ethical Compliance: Uphold the highest ethical standards in business conduct, adhering to applicable laws, regulations, and industry codes.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field from four-year college or university. MBA preferred.
  • Prior supervisory experience/training required.
  • 7+ years’ experience within operations and/or manufacturing engineering ideally in the medical device industry.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Strong technical knowledge of medical device manufacturing and process validation.

  • Plan the work to be certain that employees, material, and equipment are available to performtasksafely.
  • Promptly report all incidents inarea(s) of responsibility.
  • Conduct effective accident investigationsimmediatelyafter they occurand implement effectivecorrectiveactions to ensure that the accident does not occur.
  • Ensure injured employees receive proper first aid and/or medical treatment.
  • Follow upon all safety related deficiencies to ensure corrective action has been completed.

  • Competitive Compensation: The compensation range for this position is $103,356 - $155,034. Actual compensation is influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to skills, experience, qualifications, and geographic location. Hired candidates may be eligible to receive additional compensation in the form of bonuses and/or incentives.
