Job Description

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

  • Responsible for:
    • Directs and oversee the operations of process engineering TEC assembly factories to maintain the yield, improve the scrap rate, develop and document new methods, equipment and processes that are improvements to Thermal Electric Cooler capability.
    • This position will set up process template and platform and coordinate with the relates department to transfer a new product/ process into a high-volume production
    • Provide technical expertise in the field of assembly process for technical problem solving, process troubleshooting and new part or vendor qualification.
  • Primary Duties:
    • Lead and coach team to achieve daily and monthly production targets through proper guideline for action take to fix issue
    • Continuous improvement of manufacturing and support processes with cost reductions and capacity

      enhancement at targeted cost through direct hands-on approach
    • To provide support to QRB requirement submit, Qual build and to make sure that new process, process changes are released on time
    • Lead the effort to develop and maintain the knowledge and skill level of the engineers, maintenance, and technician support groups at the assembly processes
    • Trouble shooting major issue online or customer complaint and provide advice for short- and long-term corrective action.
    • Monitors processes parameters and performance against the processes and ensures all issues on

      processes are completed on time

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering in Mechanical, Chemical, Electronics or Material or equivalent Engineering major.
  • 8 + years of related experience in Engineering & Technology in a light industry manufacturing company with 3 years of managerial/leadership experience in the field.
  • Semiconductor manufacturing work experience is a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead people and achieve results through others.
  • Technical research and report

Skills

  • Leadership capabilities to excel in a cross organizational, cross-cultural, global team environment.
  • Strong interpersonal, teaming, using problem-solving tools and problem-solving skills.
  • Work effectively with other members of Coherent Corp.
  • Knowledge of the SMT –“Surface Mount Technology” processes, such as solder printer, High temperature furnace
  • Ability to deal effectively with differences of opinion, to influence, to draw ideas from others, and to negotiate and mediate
  • Write and review engineering reports; participates in proposal writing, leads complex group discussions; can organize and direct effective meetings

Working Conditions

  • Exposure to some of chemicals and machine oils. Works in manufacturing environment
