The Engineering Manager leads and manages a team of multi-Project Engineers, developing annual work plans, governing project execution, driving functional transformation, and uplifting engineering capability to support factory transformation The role combines strategic leadership, project governance, transformation initiative ownership, and engineering capability building
What You’ll Do for Us
1. Team Leadership & Annual Planning:
- Develops and communicates annual work plans, goals, and KPIs for the engineering team aligned with business strategy.
- Allocates resources effectively across projects according to priorities and available skills.
- Coaches, mentors and supervises three Project Engineers, ensuring the team’s professional growth and performance.
2. Governance of Project Execution:
- Oversees and governs execution of all engineering projects to ensure alignment to corporate standards, laws, and regulations (safety, environment, GMP, food safety, KORE).
- Conducts regular project reviews evaluating progress, risks, budget, compliance, and value realization.
- Drives implementation of project management and capital effectiveness best practices across the team.
3. Transformation Program Leadership:
- Leads mission-critical transformation initiatives, including digitalization of factory processes and adoption of new technologies.
- Coordinates cross-functional collaboration to ensure successful execution of transformation projects.
- Responsible for planning the roadmap, securing resources, and monitoring transformation project outcomes.
4. Engineering Capability Building for Digitalization:
- Implements capability assessment and training plans to close engineer skill gaps crucial for digital transformation.
- Champions continuous learning, technology upskilling, and leads knowledge-sharing sessions.
- Ensures engineering team readiness and technical expertise for future factory digitalization needs.
5. Project Management:
- Responsible for technical project leadership, planning, execution, and control.
- Applies project management framework and governance to deliver projects safely, on time, within budget, and with required operability.
- Prepares and manages annual project budgets (including capital and non-capital projects).
6. Performance Measurement & Continuous Improvement:
- Establishes and monitors auditing mechanisms for project performance, cost, efficiency, and safety.
- Facilitates identification of technology gaps, process improvement opportunities, and implements cost-benefit analysis.
- Champions continuous improvement programs and best practices implementation.
Qualification & Requirements
Bachelor’s degree or higher,majoring in Mechanical, Electrical,Automatic andE ngineering
10+ years of experience in a fast-moving consumer goods company and the ability to leverage technical knowledge & provide competitive advantage and 3+ years' experience of organization management
Proven experience managing engineering teams and projects in a manufacturing or FMCG environment.
Project management methodology expertise, capital project delivery experience.
Demonstrated leadership in leading transformation initiatives, preferably digitalization.
Strong knowledge of beverage/production/process engineering and integrated management systems (ISO’s).
Familiarity with Maximo CMMS, knowledge in packaging material and cold drink equipment.
Excellent analytical, communication and stakeholder management skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
