New Jersey Natural Gas (NJNG), a subsidiary of New Jersey Resources, is seeking a manager to lead its residential energy efficiency programs, including multifamily programs aligned with residential offerings. This role is responsible for identifying energy efficiency improvement opportunities, conducting program operational analyses, and reporting progress toward established goals. The Manager will also pursue opportunities to integrate new natural gas technologies, including planning and coordinating contractor training and customer outreach initiatives. In addition, this position provides oversight, coordination, and technical guidance to NJNG team members and collaborates with leadership to respond to inquiries from the New Jersey Board of Public Utilities.
Major Responsibilities:
• Manage work that is performed by Program Implementers and office support staff. Ensure program rules and procedures are being followed.
• Provide guidance on the residential program process and serve as a resource for internal and external stakeholders related to residential programs.
• Manage the integration of NJNG’s residential energy efficiency programs with those of partner utilities, the program implementers, contractors and other stakeholders.
• Ensure necessary documentation related to the residential programs are delivered from the Program Management Software System (PMSS) and transferred to the Statewide Coordinator System (SWC).
• Manage the completion of and reporting for all residential programs and ensure compliance with program rules working with internal and external stakeholders.
• Interpret residential program changes and understand supply chain challenges to determine the impact to NJNG programs.
• Communicate residential program changes to the marketing manager to ensure customer facing collateral and communications are current.
• Support the preparation of regulatory data request and ad hoc regulatory inquiries.
• Manage SAVEGREEN team members in residential data extract and reporting for BPU compliance, EM&V, sustainability reporting or other as needed.
• Assist with forecasting and budgeting for existing and potential residential programs.
• Work closely with the other utilities to refine policies and procedures for the residential core energy efficiency programs.
• Work closely with the Equity and Workforce Development Specialist to ensure business needs are identified and resources are utilized.
• Streamline work procedures to promote department efficiency.
• Participate in national and regional associations to enhance knowledge of residential program approaches and technologies. and identify strategies to layer these new approaches and technologies into programs and specific projects.
• Participate in the development of new ideas for residential energy efficiency and demand response programs and serve as a key member of the team developing and supporting the filing.
• Address escalated residential customer inquiries, including exploring resolution with contractors where necessary and recommend necessary action needed to align with the contractor remediation policy.
Position Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree required, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
• 7–10 years of experience working with residential energy efficiency programs; New Jersey experience preferred.
• Demonstrated experience supervising and leading employees.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Proficiency with computer-based software applications, including Microsoft Office (Word, Access, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook).
• Excellent verbal communication skills with a strong customer service orientation.
• Flexibility to work occasional evenings and Saturdays, as well as travel periodically to attend industry conferences.

Other Details:
Compensation: Expected base pay range for this role will be $100,800- $128,400.
Base pay is based on several factors including, experience, skills, and knowledge.
This role will be eligible to participate in an annual short term incentive program.
