New Jersey Natural Gas (NJNG), a subsidiary of New Jersey Resources, is seeking a Manager of Energy Efficiency Program Implementation to lead key implementation functions of NJNG energy efficiency programs including both SAVEGREEN and Comfort Partners to meet Clean Energy Act mandates and internal targets. The position will oversee and provide strategic direction for multiple implementation teams responsible for residential and commercial program delivery. Coordinate with internal resources providing back-office operations, reporting, collections, customer and contractor engagement, and systems. Play a leadership role in joint utility program coordination efforts. Supports leadership in identifying potential emerging market opportunities and business threats, as well as developing novel strategic solutions to enhance and expand SAVEGREEN offerings. Provide oversight, coordination and technical guidance to NJNG team members and in response to inquiries from the Board of Public Utilities. Participate in industry and company strategic discussions regarding the long-term role for natural gas, including advising and supporting key national organizations.
Major Responsibilities:
• Lead the implementation of the SAVEGREEN and Comfort Partners energy efficiency programs, $100+ million annual budget and multiple implementation teams serving residential, low-to-moderate income, and commercial customers.
• Oversee delivery of energy efficiency programs that will deliver customer energy savings in compliance with the Clean Energy Act Targets. Lead team to provide technical guidance on policies, targets and programs to help shape State policy over energy efficiency and help to build coalitions to support programs that achieve desired outcomes.
• Coordinate key operational functions performed by other teams and departments including back-office operations, reporting, collections, customer and contractor engagement, sales, marketing, community-based organization outreach, and systems.
• Provide leadership to diverse teams with a focus on investment budgets, energy savings targets, Quantifiable Performance Indicators (QPIs), key operational metrics, and controls.
• Lead and support the coordination of NJNG’s energy efficiency programs and with other New Jersey utilities through working groups and relationship building with partner utilities. Lead team to contribute subject matter expertise to program design and navigate the joint utility process to implement changes.
• Support the Evaluation, Measurement, and Verification (EM&V) process to ensure successful claiming and reporting of savings, achieve favorable realization rates, and identify and implement program and process improvements.
• Lead the team to execute forecasting, budgeting, and analysis of key operational metrics for existing and potential programs to ensure alignment with program goals and NJNG strategic priorities.
• Coordinate across Marketing, Sales, Customer Service, Customer Initiatives, and Large Customer and third-party implementer teams to facilitate delivery of NJNG’s energy efficiency and workforce development programs.
• Participate in national organizations like Energy Solutions Center, Consortium for Energy Efficiency, and American Gas Association, to champion NJNG positions and ensure NJNG is aware of advances in technology and new program approaches.
• Partner with NJNG’s Office of Innovation to evaluate and deploy new technologies. Responsible for determining implementation plans and forecasts for new technologies through SAVEGREEN.
• Oversee management of contractual relationships and deliverables with vendors and program implementers supporting our programs.
Position Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field required.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience managing and delivering energy efficiency programs required.
• At least 3 years of supervisory or direct people leadership experience required.
• Experience interacting with state energy regulators preferred.
• Demonstrated leadership ability with experience overseeing large or complex programs/teams.
• Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and Outlook.
• Excellent verbal communication skills with strong customer service orientation.
• Ability and willingness to travel as needed for business purposes.
• Knowledge of building science and mechanical systems.

Other Details:
Compensation: Expected base pay range for this role will be $111,000- $150,000.
Base pay is based on several factors including, experience, skills, and knowledge.
This role will be eligible to participate in an annual short term incentive program.
